Mother was announced to be localized, a lot of cool things happened, it's just something you would need to see for yourself. It was mostly people competing with each other.

Only special thing or noteworthy thing to mention was the display of Yoshi's Wooly World, Super Mario Maker and Mother 1/Beginnings announcement.

Everything else was some tournament that was...meh for me. Nice trophy though at the end of golden mario and a signed 3DS XL given by Miyamoto to the winner.
