Just in case it got missed, the understanding seems to be that they aren't manufacturing a car, but they made one to show off their tech.

Some articles hyped up this event, such that people thought that PS5 could make an appearance.  It's been laughable to me that people were expecting more than what we got.  

PlayStation has always announced their consoles in a big way.  
PS4 got a massive 2 hour showing.

This was without announcing a price or showing off the box.  

CES was always about Sony as an entirety. Which PlayStation is part of, but it's not the place for a big PS5 showing.  

Sony is gearing PS5 to be big.  They were never going to have any major announcements about it at CES.
