Glad that it's delivering for you. I was worried that the bump wouldn't be that appreciable.

I think it's so worth the upgrade for my 4k projector alone to get the crisp image.

I think the Sony first party titles are the ones that are likely to have the most noticeable improvements. A few of the third party ones are mostly just res and fps jumps

Just got my 30th anniversary Dualsense.  Its so good looking. I understand the purpose of making them limited edition, but dang this color should always be an option for any of their controllers at all times.

Lately I've been thinking I really would like a PS5 portable.

Why is that?

I'm super nostolgic towards vita, but realistically playstation portal solves most of my needs.

it fixes none of mine.

the kids don't just take the TV they take the ps5.   I need something more like playstation version of steam deck where I can have local play instead of just remote play.   i want to play my games but i don't want a full ps5/TV to play them.

also i want to play my games on an airplane.

Portal over airplane internet, I'm sure that'd be a great and lag free experience  ;D

I would love to get a vr headset for airplanes. That would be an incredible way to travel.

That's the real problem with game consoles not dropping in price like they used to. Can't just buy a second one for $299.

not only that but the way licensing is done is not great for multi-console ownership.   i have to make the console my kids use the "primary" and therefore i have to be logged into the internet on my second console in order to play my digital library.   but sometimes my kids want me to play with them or they just want to use my save files instead of starting a game from scratch.

..and that's just with 2 consoles.   impossible to do things with 3 without rebuying your library on multiple accounts.

my kids accounts are managed by me.  we all log in from the same devices on the same IP.   i think that should entitle them to play my games and use my ps+.

It would be great if they switched to a family system like steam. You simply make a group of people and everyone in the group has access to every game owned by someone in the group. Only restriction is that you can't have the same game played on multiple computers at the same time unless multiple people in the group own it.
