I taught my dog to recognize people by name and go seek them out when commanded. I don't think she knows my name though :P

That's a good one. My dog is absolutely horrible with not jumping on people.
Don't have dogs but when I go to my parents their dogs are trained well.
Here's a list of what they can do.
Bark non stop to alert people are arriving/leaving
Extraordinary escape artists as soon as you open the gate at least 4 inches.
Welcome guests by jumping on them.
Make sure you know you have food by making whimpering whining sounds while staring at your food
Destroy any spam mail, and normal mail (collateral damage), that come through letter box.
They are so good at doing these things they also bark for a treat every hour for a reward.
