You're making me want to watch gamer for the first time.
I hate it when people downplay VR.

I don't hate it, but I do disagree with them.
VR will be the biggest revolution since the smartphone.
I dunno I think AR will be more so the future than VR... but they both have their place... preferentially I'd rather spend my gaming time with AR than VR because VR would be to inhibiting requiring real dedicated time where as AR could be as simple for me as playing a quick match of COD or free roaming chicago... my current situation and gaming needs in life also prevent me from wanting to use voice commands via a stand alone mic attachment... or headset mic

The problem with AR is that it's still very much science fiction.
The AR today is like the VR from the 80s. Cool, but not even close to what the public wants it to be.

AR is interesting and I do have some ideas for it, but I much prefer VR.
I think VR is viable, but seems like it would be way more hardcore audience than currently exists and thus at best would only be a niche market.
Perhaps.
The best choice would be VAR. Virtually Augmented Reality. All of the benefits of both!
I think that would still be AR... you should watch gamer
