Some people at Sony seem to be in denial but I'm glad most people are in agreement that this wasn't that good of a show.
it wasn't soo long ago that forums would loudly complain about not caring about the talking between game trailers and all of the publishers seemed to take notice and eliminate it entirely. i'd say the criticisms and response where a bit out of synch from each other.It feels like companies forgot that these showcases are supposed to be events themselves. TGA has issues but I'm so glad Geoff Keighley understands that.
it's not that i don't want any talking. i don't want irrelevant talking. this included 2 basic categories of stupid imo
- talking directed to investors instead of gamers. things like "we sold XXX units of ..."
- disingenuous small talk to segue from one game to the next.
- ....or worse yet disingenuous small talk during gameplay (this refers to mp games specifically).
