I guess I wasn't paying that much attention, but neuralink is a full blown medical device. @Dr. Pezus

Sensors are injected by a robot into the brain. With thousands and thousands, the thin wires converge to a chip placed under the skin behind the ear. An external chip with batteries and bluetooth is then worn on top of that. Connects to the user's phone and should allow them to operate the app using their brain. Smartphone app then can connect to a computer to function as a mouse and a keyboard.


Initial trials will be focused on quadriplegics without mobility. Long term goal is for it to be a simplified procedure similar to Lasik for general people that just want to connect with electronics directly. Also plan to work both ways and send info into the brain.
