NPD wouldn't count that though. For it to be NPD number 1 it needs 3.3M physical (no bundles), which may be tough. We shall see :$

Red Dead Redemption 2 has retaken the No.1 spot in the UK physical games charts four weeks after it last held the position.Black Ops 4 making it past a million already is nuts considering its launch week. Legs have been really good for it. Especially nuts when fifa, which debuted way more than double it, hasn't reached 2 million yet. MK8D at #5 must mean Switch is going crazy.
There has been a spike in sales across many games in the charts - and particularly the Top Three. Red Dead Redemption 2 sales rose 19 per cent, taking it from No.2 to No.1. FIFA 19 saw a 30 per cent sales rise (going from No.3 to No.2), whereas Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - boosted by a £10 price drop - rose four places to No.3 (sales up 175 per cent)
All three games have sold over one million boxed games in the UK, and combined account for over four million physical games sold.
Nintendo Switch is clearly proving to be a popular console as we get nearer to Christmas, and a number of Switch games increased in sales week-on-week. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe holds No.5 in the charts (sales up 20 per cent), and there were sales increases for Pokémon Let's Go: Pikachu, Super Mario Party, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Not that sales increases are confined to Nintendo games. Xbox One exclusive Forza Horizon 4 saw a 135 per cent sales bump (up from No.17 at No., after a £10 price cut. Whereas, PS4-only Spider-Man rose from No.11 to No.9 with a 68 per cent sales increase (again, some price activity drove this).
Sounds like both PS4 and Switch went up last week in Japan. That's awesome for both. The PS4 deal is having an ongoing boost rather than causing a sudden rush which died off, and Switch going up again after its incredible Smash week is great.Where did you see that?
Report from GEO stores, was posted in the Era media create thread. Chris also said Smash is looking like 400-450k (he's a sales insider or something). He has relations with individuals in the Japanese video game retail industry. He knows some people.
Nintendo Switch is the Fastest-Selling Video Game System of This Generation | Business WireYes, with November it overtook PS4 launch aligned. If the next 5 months for Switch total more than 3.7M then its going to stay ahead of PS4 as well.
This generation though?
Yes, with November it overtook PS4 launch aligned. If the next 5 months for Switch total more than 3.7M then its going to stay ahead of PS4 as well.I mean I don't really look at switch as the same gen as ps4. That was WiiU. But that's semantics really.
Smash over 3mil in 11 days, fudgy amazing. I assume that includes digital. Still got some ways to go to beat 3.3m physical then.
US sales:
MK8D >5M
SMO >4.7M
Zelda >4M
Smash >3M
Pokemon >2M
SMP >1.4M
Also they confirmed Switch is over 8.7M, which means our leaks are still accurate.
