Ah of course, I'll get that eventually!
I'm not sure it is. Did it get a demo?
Don't think so.

It's similar to Dishonored and Prey, but less focused on story and more focused on gameplay.

Next system should have:

-PS4 backwards compatibility preferably.
-PSVR support
-PSVR2 support
-New PlayStation Move controllers with analog sticks on it.
-Lots of regular games
-Lots of VR games
-I'd like PS5 minis, where it's a lot more open to consumers to develop games, but they can have restrictions on stuff.
-Fully Formed OS day 1. It's just a little jarring to have a new system that doesn't have all the features of the old one. Like the new OS should have a media player, internet browser, folder support that works just as well as the current one.
-launch at 399$

-Support with PSVita. ha, not gonna happen.
Not too far off. 8)

Era: "Sony patents DLSS like tech!"
Me: "neat."
*clicks on article*
Me: "This isn't DLSS... You lied to me, Era!"

This is like the third time.

The consoles got really unlucky with DLSS. In a few more years it could feel like the thing that ages them the most.

yep. i saw this as news today but i noticed it on the ps5 a bit when a game i wishlisted went on sale.

it's a great feature. i can navigate my entire Wishlist too which makes it easy to cross reference the games i want with the current sales. for the ps4 generation i exclusively used the web browser to buy games but these days i've actually made my purchases directly on ps5. it's a really good experience.

Jesus christ God of War looks amazing on ps5 (and OLED). Also almost forgot how epic the music is.

Another pro of digital games. The disc drive is crazy loud.

1 year ago, the PlayStation 5 was released.

Woot! Woot!

The first year of a new generation. Who got one? What games are you playing?! Was it a good first year?

Spoiler for Personal Take:
This is the first time I've gotten a console day 1, and it's been amazing. Most of the use I have gotten out of it has been as a PS4 Pro Pro. Which I have no problem with.

I have heard great things about Returnal and Ratchet and Clank, but I've yet to play either of them.

The Demons Souls remake was fantastic, as was Astro's Playroom. Really looking forward to the next games these teams make.

On the whole, PS5 has had a pretty good first year, I would say.

do we need to spoiler our views?

i did not get one day-1 and i was surprised at how hard it was to obtain one. still surprised they are soo damned difficult to obtain. i like it well enough i guess. BC is a godsend or this thing would be a literal paper weight. maybe not as bad of a paper weight as an xbox but still.

i'll eventually get returnal and demon souls. ratchet will come first which i'm going to be really fudgy angry if it isn't a part of the black friday sales. i want to play it but i won't pay $70 for it even if it is a game i'll love and cherish.

the promise and lack of horizon and GoW has me slightly miffed. i get it,.. covid. still this epic first year was basically a pretty standard console launch first year. astro bot was good though.

i love the better load times. the 60 fps and 4k can pretty much go fudge itself. i just don't care. the games i love the best (cartoony and stylized) don't even feel improved to me. i've definetly hit the wall on caring about graphics and i'm really fudgy tired of the 60 fps police and their rants about how things are unplayable if a single frame is dropped or how a lack of VRR is some major concession. just fudge the fudge off,.. show me the games and not the pixels. also,.. where are the games that feel next gen on gameplay not on pixels?!

so yeah, not exactly my favorite gen so far.

I feel like I've used my ps5 more for videos than gaming. There are a lot of ps4 games I want to play on it, but I guess I've been saving them for the right time.

Watch dogs legion
Spiderman miles
Some deamon's souls
Astrobot
Maquette
Deathloop
Vampyre

Lol no. I just did it to separate my views from my post about being a year old. :P

Maquette was really good. Also a similar type of game to check out, which I think is better, is Superliminal
