Crash is the best selling first week title on Switch this year, just beating out Donkey Kong. XB1 version sold 250 units more than that.

UK loves Crash, crazy performance ;D

Awful for The Crew 2, way down on the first game according to Zhuge.

Dr. Pezus

That's physical only
Isn't it higher than earlier estimates?

Kerotan

Could God of war hit 1m retail + digital in the uk?

Xevross

Isn't it higher than earlier estimates?
Nope. You might be forgetting that month 1 was 2 weeks of data?

Beyond: Two Souls has sold 2.8 million copies | ResetEra

  • Beyond on PS3 reached roughly 2 million copies sold back in 2015, so the PS4 remaster sold most of those 800k; digital should have a high ratio since the physical PS4 release was delayed. This is against a reported production budget of $27M and another $25M in marketing for a total spend of $52M. Safe to say the game made a decent profit at this point despite getting discounted pretty quickly after release
  • Heavy Rain is at 5.3 million copies sold (PS3 + PS4) against a total budget of $46M ($19M in dev + $27M in marketing)
  • Detroit reached 1 million copies sold after 2 weeks against a production budget of $35M and an unspecified amount in marketing (likely between $25-30 million). Heavy Rain took 5 weeks for the same milestone and Beyond required 11-12 weeks. I think Detroit should already be profitable
Note: Sony and Quantic Dream operate on a game per game contract. After a game reaches a defined "dead" point all further profits generated from sales are split up between Sony and Quantic. The studio is reportedly profitable every year with an annual revenue of around €10-12M.

Octo is doing great.

Never heard of lego incredibles but sure makes sense.

Kerotan

Beyond 2 souls 2.8m and will surely hit 3m in future too.

Wow Beyond really did decrease from Heavy Rain huh.

Dr. Pezus

Wow Beyond really did decrease from Heavy Rain huh.
Naturally
Still dang good considering

I thought that was a given. Heavy rain was very good and beyond was just decent. I'd say detroit will be a success.

So I guess their next game will be on the ps5. Hopefully a year into it's life so they have time to get another out on the ps5 after.
