There's an argument to be had about massive games often being unsustainable, and then there's that lol.

I really find some takes baffling. Like a lot of people complain that if Sony acquires a publisher, that publisher would stop making PC games. It makes me wonder if that person is stuck in like 2017.

It's also funny to me, how many people are insistent that certain things won't happen. A lot of the time, I think those things make sense, but I also don't think this is the time to say it'll never happen.

We have Sony shelling out $3.6 billion for a studio, to keep making multiplatform games. We have Sony making PC games.
Sony is making Switch games (MLB The Show).
MS has been making Switch + PS4 games like Minecraft dungeons and some others.
We have MS buying Activision.

A lot of these things were "never" going to happen just 2 years ago.  Now they have.

Great points. The industry has changed so much and now more than ever it's best to be humble in our predictions.

Simultaneously, it's just a reminder of how pointless gamer arguments are. It's just a revolving door of new talking points.

Just finished Inside on switch and really liked the experience. I don't remember if some of you guys played it? If so, what did you think?

I think legend made a threat calling it deeply flawed.

I liked it not loved it.  nothing for me to be mad about but nothing to rave about either.  a solid mid experience.

That guy in particular seems to bring a lot of incorrect takes to Bloomberg.
Sony and Nintendo each came out to respond to some rumors he started.

Just garbage takes.

LTTP Inside, a huddled mass of contradictions

Glad you played it! I loved the stuff at the end. Did not expect that.

Nah that was Road 96.

I thought Inside was pretty great while playing it. Just a very bad aftertaste once I found out everything was random with no deeper meaning.

Well is it random though?

Spoiler for Hidden:
isn't the point that the blob is controlling you? Which explains why you'd help it.

I like how open to interpretation it is though. The gameplay and visuals/animations as well are very fluid. It looked great even on Switch.

Sound effects really good too. Like water sounds and everything being muffled when underwater. Sounded realistic

There's an interview where a dev explains that there isn't a master plan. Instead it was just each individual dev haphazardly putting in their own mysteries.

Sounds were great. They went into a lot of effort to sync them between deaths, instead of having a hard reset.

For me it's a 7/10 (5/10 is average). Fun game but no real meat to go along with it.

But they probably had done this before (the scientists) which is how they knew. The ceo is strange though.

I'd give it 8-8.5
