I expected more info haha!

Yeah, there's nothing...

The image looks like a clever poke at the Rift S.  (Lighthouse tracking is apparent, as well as hardware IPD adjust.)

Aside from that, there's no real info.

"But then to take it further, the actual name of the product. The 'Index'. If you search the patent you will find extensive references and discussion of "index of refraction", which means "measurement of the bending of a ray of light when passing from one medium into another.". Kind of neatly ties in the logo and the product name, doesn't it?"

I know why its called the Index and what the logo represents! : ValveIndex

^Valve has a patent on a lens set up to utilize smaller screens for a larger FOV.

Some people were wondering how they could manage such a large FOV, with how small the headset is.

Only days after writing an article about how he couldn't use Rift S, due to the lack of physical IPD adjustment.

As you can see in the above image (in the OP as well), that Valve is using physical IPD.  One of the few things that we know for sure about the headset.

The speculation is that the resolution will be about par with the HTC Vive Pro.

The controller, which we've already known about:

Funky headphones.

Is that a screen on the front?

What's up with all the small "holes" on the front? It is asymmetric with the small square on the right side.

The seven dots could either be screw holes which would be odd, or they could be leds for tracking.

The Vive's tracking that Valve made actually works the opposite.
It has LEDs on the stations that are picked up by "tracking dots" on the headset.

So it works by the headset figuring out where the base stations are, rather than the other way around.

The Vive has a pretty clever tracking system.  As far as we know, this uses the same system.

I keep forgetting that this is essentially a Vive sequel.

It doesn't seem to have the sensors needed for that type of tracking though. Vive needs to have sensors pointed in every direction essentially.

Valve Index and Knuckles Pre-orders and Release Date Confirmed
Quote
Following the leak of the Steam product page for the Valve Index headset (detailed below), a spokesperson for Valve tells Road to VR that the information "while not comprehensive, is accurate." The spokesperson also said that the company is targeting May 1st for a full reveal of the headset which will include pre-orders, with shipping planned some time in June (though the exact date is not yet confirmed). Knuckles will also be sold alongside Index, and Valve plans to call them "Valve Index Controllers" going forward.

Found it!  The small square is where a USB port is:

USB port doesn't seem to have any specific purpose in mind:

Was really funny.  People started assuming it was for wireless after seeing that.

Valve is preparing to show the Index to the press:

Every day is torture!

It's funny.  Most of the "info" that we have about the headset comes from leaks either from Valve accidentally posting a webpage, or from regular leaks.
There's very little that we know for sure about the headset.
Kind of stunning that almost everything Valve gave us, comes from the one image.
