They went to space from a scientific point of view.

I think the casual person however thinks of space more with orbit.

apparently one of the astronauts is from my community.  I just got interviewed for tv (local news),.. there were looking for a "Soo cool" statement and I was happy to supply.

Lol I called it "space*" in my previous thread because people understand the word in different ways but he's just being contrarian.

I agree on orbit being what people think of when they think of space. He seems ignorant however to the fact that humans have been stuck in low Earth orbit since the last Moon landing. The SpaceX Inspiration 4 mission is set to go around 550 km up and they will be the farthest humans away from Earth in 50 years. Branson and crew only reached the edge of space at 85 km but the space shuttle did missions in the low 200s.


Plus legally and scientifically they were in space.
