And August seems a bit far off to announce another piece of hardware. Probably waiting on pricing.

announcing in August suggests to me that they still don't have a handle on how to market this thing without killing the hype for series x.
it's a difficult proposition for sure. g'luck.
..but i'll say this. if they xbox first party studio games don't show fantastically high quality graphics during gameplay the "xbox series x is held back by cross gen/lockhart" statements are going to be the most talked about topic with respect to xbox.
How do we think the August event will go?
Series S at the beginning? Series S at the end? Maybe they'll try a bait and switch and not reveal the series x price at this event. Show all the great games on series x, hype it up, and then say "all of these great games are playable on the xbox series family, starting at $249."
