Calls out platform holders.

It's 'right' when your console can run at 120 FPS. We're not playing around here. This is beyond next gen. For too long have subtle iterations been accepted. Time to raise the bar, substantially. :)

The free engine thing either makes me think this is a joke or that it'll be a mess. A company that size making a console is crazy enough, but simultaneously releasing a game engine too?

I'm still not sure about it being/not being a joke. He made a "funny" (his words) in the tweet where he says he's serious.

If they're serious, I'm guessing they're basically making a slightly custom steam box.

The game engine is probably a modified version of their in-house engine.

Most realistic way they could pull anything off that'd be worth pulling off.

I mean we have unreal engine that's free and really really popular. And I don't see that changing, unless their's is fudgy amazing.

If they have a real console coming out then cool. Otherwise then who thought it'd be a good PR move to get combative on twitter and misrepresent how fps works?

We're going 90 per eye, 180 FPS internally. My CTO has just called me and confirmed that's what we'll deliver.

The flares are large for a reason... OK this is all open to massive variation and we have other much more 'mainstream' design concepts but the flares have heat dissipation and speakers built in. We might scrap all that though. For now, it's all about getting the 'M' out there...
