My prediction on GAF is very pessimistic compared to the aggregate.
i predict switch will do very, very badly. a disaster.

Expected.
BTW
Xbox One is up yoy or they just spin with sales overall.
"December was the biggest month ever for Xbox One sales in the U.S., and Xbox One was the only [current-generation] console with year-over-year growth, according to NPD," "In addition, Xbox One was the top-selling console over the second half of 2016, following the announcement of Xbox One S at E3."
Ok, Amazon could be back on track. I'm not going to assume it is for a fact yet but if Jan is right too then I think it's safe to say things are back to normal
Xbox One was the top-selling console over the second half of 2016,
By what? 5k? MS will never learn.
By what? 5k? MS will never learn.
The issue lol is MS saying that won the second half that means they lost the year.
It is a shameless comment.
PS4 < 1,582,000
XB1 > 1,376,000
XB1 v PS4 gap July - October 2016
267K
November gap
~167K
From GAF
So December gap must be less than 100k
I hope TLG sold good.

Next week bro :P
Well, my GAF prediction is absolutely iced :P

How many you predicted... I was low to both (1200k and 1100k I guess).

You call that low? I predicted 900K XB1 and 950K PS4.

And I think at this point Xbox stops being as competitive due to Scalebound's announcement and nothing till the end of the year.

Lol, it's fake. I just wanted to share it because it made me spit out my drink.
Great win for the ps4. Finishes 2016 around 350k up. 2017 should start off with the gap further increasing considering the ps4 has a vastly superior release schedule for the first 6 months.
I did the math with Aqua data.
PS4 lead this month needs to be lower than 160k.
I think the slim and pro will get a price cut next October. Or whenever Scorpio releases. I don't think Sony can coast at 299 anymore. 250 next year then 199 at year 6. Ps3 will be discontinued by then I suspect. So the ps4 will replace the ps3 for good. Ps5 reveal for year 7 and release at year 8.
NPD figures put Xbox and PlayStation neck-and-neck in Dec 2016, with 1.5m Xbox consoles sold | Windows Central (http://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-playstation-neck-and-neck-npd-dec-2016)
XB1: 1.511m
Ps4: 1.568m
PS4 Pro: 238K
Very close month!
Gap between PS4 and XB1 was about 360k this year. What was it the last couple of years?

2014 - 310K gap
2015 - 800K gap
2014 - 310K gap
2015 - 800K gap
So similar to 2014 then. You would have expected better at the start of the year
Pro sold 238k... probably over 500k in US.

I think Windows Central had it selling ~300K in November, so it has sold over 500K. That's very good for a luxury device.
Thread updates waiting TOP10.
Windows Central article updated... > 80% XB1S.
Xbox One S: >1,209,000

That's quite a lot of OG XB1's...
2016 was a great victory for the ps4. Microsoft tried hard and came up short again
Wow, I'm genuinely shocked, FFXV managed to make the top 10 for the Year in the US with only one month of sales.

Very good for ff! Tlg made it
I wonder how much FF 15 sold on Xbox.
I wonder how much FF 15 sold on Xbox.
It sold 19% more than FFXIII, which puts it around 1.57 million. Assuming the ratio in the US is the same as the UK, then it would be around 1.2 million for the PS4 and 300K for the XB1.
Long story short, the XB1 version sold over the minimum print order, sparing Microsoft from Square's wrath :P
Nvm.
Console SW down YOY by 12% (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=228716565&postcount=340)

That's what I was eventually going to ask. XD
Anyone noticed that neither Gears 4 nor Dead Rising 4 were in the XB1 Top 10 games?

With digital?
With digital?
I think it's retail only.
NPD doesn't track most digital sales (I don't think).
So pretty likely, it is 12% down for retail software.

Probably not down that much (if at all) if we include digital sales

Most of digital is included... only first-party is not included I guess.
Looks like MS is sharing digital sales too... Only Sony and Nintendo are not sharing digital sales.

Oh so MS is sharing digital data? Neat! Sony should start doing that as well.
Edit: Just saw it on Gaf, it's apparently a mistake

Dead RisIng 4 and The Last Guardian came and no body cared
315 and 250
Can someone ask the guy if the Dead Rising 4 numbers include digital? I'm guessing they do.
Still 250k in the US for TLG is not awful, it's actually more than I expected.
Better than I expected.
I guess I updated with everything.
FFXV split is 75/25 btw.

It's about 71/39. John Harker said XB1 version sales are around 450K (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=228730642&postcount=207).

71/29 then. Surprisingly good for XB1.
Oh and Tlg sales are good without digital. Probably 300k+ with digital included

Probably sit at 2 million world wide once it's all said and done. Which I would assume Sony is expecting.

UPD : 450K for XBO was incl. DD numbers.
Final Fantasy XV ~1.77 (1.57M retail + ~200K digital)
PS4 ~1.32M

Yeah, I saw Sh1nn clarifying that on Chartz.
So Pro has sold over 500k ltd in the US alone? Should be around the 1 million mark worldwide. Very nice!

Yeah, making up 18% of total PS4 sales in the US from November - December is good. It's more impressive when the Pro managed to sell consistently even though it didn't have the benefit of 2 month's worth of preorders in December.
The Pro should start making up a larger proportion of PS4 sales because holiday season sales are very dependent on entry price. Thus, there should theoretically be proportionally more core consumers during the 'pre-season' months.
