eh, that's what day-1 patches are for....Ship graphics are needed for marketing. If the reveal trailer and the release date are the same day, that'll massively decrease sales for a game like this. Best to have a few months to build interest. Some games even artificially delay release to give them more marketing time.
Bigger games don't have this issue because they can do a cgi/in engine trailer years before the game is ready to be shown.
