A new message from NASA has appeared on the network, in which the space agency invites everyone to watch the landing of the new Perseverance rover live.
An online broadcast of the landmark event is scheduled for February 18, it will be possible to follow it both on the NASA website and on the agency's official YouTube channel. In the announcement of the event, the company's specialists said that during landing, the interplanetary station will enter the thin Martian atmosphere at a speed of about 20 thousand km/h. In the future, using the vehicle's own engines and a parachute, the speed will be reduced to 3 km/h.

The rover will be lowered into Jezero crater at the very last stage. This will be done with the help of three special cables.

I added a countdown. Not sure when exactly the coverage will start but I put it about an hour before the landing.

Let's see NASA go 2 for 2 with sky cranes!
