I doubt Microsoft is done. They'll probably go on a temporary cool down for a time and target another. Post-Bungie, recall Jim Ryan said Sony is "not at all done" with acquisitions. I can see them now going after Square or Capcom, or both, if they haven't talked already.

Will Tencent eat up Ubisoft? What about SEGA? EA? Take-Two? Embracer? Expect the gaming landscape to go through some huge changes in the next 5-10 years. We're in uncharted territory folks! ???? pic.twitter.com/Xec5sG498D

Biggest thing I'm concerned about is Apple/Amazon/Google etc waiting in the wings now. With their biggest tech rival acquiring two entertainment giants back to back, it might be open season.

locked behind a paywallIt's funny that this is the same senator that did a huge push for Blue Origin without understanding a thing about space. There's supporting local industry and then there's this lol.
Sony really has a monopoly in one country when you take out the biggest competitor that controls like 90%* of the market.
*I don't actually know the number. I just know that Switch is absurdly massive to the point that it usually controls the entire top 30 games chart*

I'm just excited to see this whole ordeal being done.right... within 6 months we'll hear about MS next publisher intends to acquire.
It will suck, but I'll be glad to see the bandaid pulled off anyways....
right... within 6 months we'll hear about MS next publisher intends to acquire. So you're saying we get a 6 month break from this nonsense?

Decisions from the majority of smaller regulators in 3-5 weeks (almost all of them will be approvals without remedies).Expected timeline
- Decisions from the CMA, EC and SAMR in late April - early May. The CMA is still the main obstacle there, but things look easier now.
- If everyone approves it, I think that MS will offer the same remedies to the FTC to sign a consent decree and be done with this merger by late June.
Any degradation in the price, performance, or quality of play on PlayStation or any delaysPart of Sony's response to the CMA's decision.
on release would quickly harm SIE's reputation and cause a loss of engagement and of
players. As SIE's CEO, Jim Ryan, explained to the CMA at the Remedies Hearing, if
PlayStation received a degraded version of Call of Duty, it would "seriously damage our
reputation. Our gamers would desert our platform in droves and network effects would
exacerbate the problem. Our business would never recover."
Part of Sony's response to the CMA's decision.A bit exaggerated. But its something MS can do, just have a gimped version on PS and just have everyone buy an xbox if they want to play CoD properly
