Laptop manufacturer with a major push on right to repair.

Pretty cool. I'm needing to get a new laptop one of these years. Upgrading part by part would be nice.

I haven't watched the video, but I'm assuming you're talking about upgradeable parts?  I remember alienware was pushing upgrading GPUs.  It didn't go anywhere :(

i don't see the market for it.

for those that are into computers upgrading parts is already an accomplishable task.

for those that aren't into computer,.. they get confused by things like "wii" and "wiiU".   a framework laptop is not easy enough to make it understandable.

Upgradeable everything.

Swap out usb c ports with an SD card reader.
Swap out the keyboard, the bezel.

Add in a fingerprint reader.

Add in an "SSD" that's basically external.

Uh not really?

There's a massive gap between desktops and laptops. If you ask to replace the CPU or GPU on a desktop, that's easy. There's a million guides on it. If you ask to replace either of those things on a laptop, the answer is don't bother.
Laptop manufacturers have intentionally made it difficult to repair laptops.

The frame work laptops basically bring it in line with desktops.

I don't have too much faith in the company staying healthy which is a big risk for their upgrade plans, but just as a static customized laptop aren't they competitive? Pay extra but get the exact features you want.
