Title: Will a roller coaster/ride ever have something meaningful to say?
Post by: Legend on Jun 21, 2021, 11:13 PM
There are a lot of similarities between video games and roller coasters. Like TLOU and SOMA, will roller coasters ever get really deep? Some of them like Expedition Everest and Escape from Gringotts tell highly immersive stories so it feels like it's only a matter of time till we get a ride that keeps you thinking about its message long after you get off.

I'd almost classify Avatar Flight of Passage as one since it's just so incredible and has a good backstory about environmentalism, but afterwards you're only focused on the wonder of the experience.

does the carasel of progress count?  that shame has been laying down the learning for decades now.

I guess it and the original Journey into Imagination would. Disney has a lot of great educational rides but those two go a little bit deeper.
