are we sure about that?  i heard "changes" but nothing definitive.

...not at all surprised.   curious what they decide to do.     personally i hope they have a teir ~same as ps+ extra with old games and that the "day-1 releases" is a big price increase.   like at least $300 a year.   also i hope it requires yearly membership instead of monthly.    a pay per month option is fine but yearly committment will stop the "sub for a month and drop" mindset.     

should do a lot to stop the devaluation of video games.

There is that one little detail though,… legalese was updated from:

"Game catalog varies over time."  (for prior such announcements)

To

"Game catalog varies by plan."

For xbox which always talks in half truths i'll take this as a confirmation of new teirs of gamepass to be announced.  What was said today remain truth.  …but not at todays prices.

Avowed Feels Ordinary | Pen to Pixels

Other previews are more positive, but it matches my fears. The first teaser for Avowed with all its descriptions made it feel like the next evolution of adventure rpgs. Nowadays however it just looks like every other adventure rpg.

I'll still try it but I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to it any more. Used to be maybe my second most hyped game.

ordinary seems accurate.   i would have said mid.  looks like one of those games made by a no-name studio held to a shoe-string budget that is kind of okay-ish to play as long as you aren't expecting more than a time waster.   darksiders is the comparison that comes to mind.   not the gameplay itself mind you,..  just the reception.

I'm less excited every time they announce something new about it.

It was one of the games I was most looking forward to, at one point. Now I'm not even sure that I'd get it.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will have challenging puzzles, but also a creative hint system through Indy's camera: 'We don't want you to go to YouTube to look up the solution, because that's immersion-breaking and bad' | PC Gamer

Will these "hard" puzzles actually be hard? I'd love an Indy game with a 50 50 ratio of puzzles to combat. Make it a genuine modern puzzle game but still have action.

nope.   just because it's on every platform doesn't mean it's not an xbox exclusive.
