When some people say soon, they mean "within a short amount of time."

When I say soon, I mean "hopefully before the heat death of the universe, but no promises."

Slight bump.

What do yall think of SOMA?

I ask because I'm trying to fix a problem with backtracking and repeated content. Since it's an open world, the player can move around a lot and do things in a custom order. This is causing problems because great and amazing areas for one player can be slow and boring for another.

SOMA is linear but imo it does a great job of driving you forward even though the gameplay is super basic. I am not making VizionEck Adventure like SOMA, but it has left a lasting impression on me.

i had heard of it and i had heard only good things about it.  when i checked it out for myself (trailer) i saw that it is a horror game.   i typically hate horror games and the only exception to that for me is dead space.   for some reason i loved that one.   is this "dead space" like or more like your typical jump scare horror game?

Dead space.

Lots of psychological horror. I typically hate horror games too. You will (or should) be scared while playing SOMA at times, but it only has like 2 jump scares.

good to know.  ps+ gave it to me so it is no effort on my part to play.  I'm going to fire up until dawn first though.  not sure how long that takes but I feel like it's not a long game if you don't replay for alternative endings.

Until dawn is like 7-8 hours iirc but it depends on your choices I guess

so 2-3 nights of gaming for me.

I had intended to finish tomb raider first but I'm running out of October.  I spend too much time with side activities.  I should just finish it already.
