I think its because digital becomes cheaper after a while as well. Also 2020 was a covid year, a lot if these stores were closed or people didn't want to leave. Pushed people to buy more digital.
Honestly digital is a great way to buy, old school people prefer to buy discs. But digital has do many benefits. I hope discs survive though because if not prices for software will always be higher in digital when there is no competition
