I honestly wouldnt be surprised if we see it up and running next year or in early 2017 to be honest.Supposedly somehow the PS3 has been progressing faster.
Xbox360 is a completely different system compared to the PS3.
Mainly the reason why we havent seen much PS3/Xbox360 emulation updates is because majority of the coders were working on other projects or had this sense of justice of not creating a emulator early in a systems' life.

Doubtful - its more likely that the emulator isnt as polished as it should be.
The PSP emulator was completely unplayable for me back in 2012 - but now its playable after all sorts of new updates.
PS3 is considered more complex, and is an order of magnitude more powerful than a PSP. (40 ish actually)
