On the one hand it is cool that we have this kind of technology. Even a satellite imagery expert said this was way beyond anything else.
On the other hand, it is horrifying the president shared this...
From a purely space focused perspective, it's cool to see this satellite in action.
US satellites are well tracked and this is just more confirmation that military space activities are mostly known by civilians. Satellites fake their own failures sometimes to avoid this but historically astronomers still find them.
Sharing details that went against the official story or public understanding could have been damaging for national security but in this case I think the only damaging thing is popularizing the information and turning it into national news.
