Hopefully Ninja Theory gets the benefit of being a studio that MS bought directly. Buying them just to close them after 1 game would be so stupid.

not sure why that would help them.   isn't a 2nd round of layoffs supposed to be happening.    i think these numbers put a giant target on their back.

the way those charts fall off outside after the top 10 i'd say that ranking means we can round revenue to ~ $0.

either way it should be close.  likely depends on when switch 2 releases.

but my opinion is probably not assuming switch 2 actually releases this spring.

Yeah I doubt it.

Will be interesting to see switch pass DS though. Best selling Nintendo system ever.

Since we're talking about sales how much impact do we think the decline in demographics in Japan is going to hit Nintendo over the next 20 years so. They seem to be particularly reliant on japanese sales than PS and obviously Xbox

So hard for me to even envision what gaming will look like in 20 years.

I assume the west's love of Japanese media will continue to grow and that could offset their problems. Just stop localizing so many games and instead advertise them as "imported" like anime.

Demographics and populations should be something all companies consider.

Countries like the US, UK, France, Australia etc continue to grow whereas places like Japan, Italy, South Korea (not to mention they are a top heavy demographic) are facing demographic decline. In the case of Japan they declined by about 4 million people over the past couple of years (similar to the size of New Zealand). If you have a prominent market share in a declining market you have to offset that somehow. I just think Nintendo's reliance on Japan is going to face particular hurdles in this regard. They'll need to find new markets like China, India, Indonesia etc to offset this decline.
