Notable PS4 Pro, or games that don't max out their potential

So with the PS5 BC comes boost mode.

If all goes well, there are some benefits to this:
1.) PS4 Pro or PS5 settings can be run on PS4 games.
2.) Games with higher frame rates may be able to be maxed out.  For example a game running at 35 fps, should be capable of maxing out at 60 fps.
3.) Games with dynamic resolution may be able to be maxed out.

2 and 3 make improvements possible without even a thread.

Resetera has some nice threads that are a good guide.
PS4 Pro enhancements is a fairly complete log with tons of entries, covering point 1.
Games that would benefit is a thread of random examples, covering points 2 and 3.

So I made this thread as I have never had a PS4 pro, so I'm looking forward to those enhancements as well as new ones.

Hopefully GOW will be patched for 4k60

Could have sworn I saw people on Era saying GOW was uncapped and should run at high fps by default on PS5.

There seems to be a 4k mode and a 60 fps mode. No mode that can hit 4k60

I never owned a pro so the jump will be huge for me.

Me too!

Although I don't have a 4K tv.

I used some computer hackz to test Twisty Puzzle Simulator's 4k mode.

Me three!

And same although I have a new high quality 1440p HDR screen that my PS4 hasn't been connect to so I'll still feel a big jump.

There are two modes like Pi said. It needs a third mode with both maxed now

How do people not have 4k TVs these days. And by people I mean heavy gamers.

I've had mine for like 3 years.
I also have a Pro. It's not a big jump over base PS4 but it depends on the game.

probably because TVs last 10 or more years.  i thought about a ps4 pro for like a minute and then laughed at myself because i only had a 1080p tv.  i do have a 4k tv now but only because my other tv died.  4k is probably cool and all (i woudln't know since i don't have any 4k content to consume) but not cool enough to dump a perfectly good tv for.

Some of us aren't rich doctors. I'm still using a TV from about 6 years ago.
Good TVs last pretty long.  My parents still have an hdtv from 13 years ago. Still runs fine. Haven't had to get a new one yet.

I've just finished being a student, spending half my time in two spaces neither of which have space for me to have a TV more than 40" and absolutely no reason for a 4K TV yet anyway without a Pro.

Been planning to get one after I graduated for a long time but I'm still stuck at home and no space for a big TV, so I'm just waiting.

I also have an 11 year old 1080p TV that still looks amazing.
