Physical movies need to be cheaper and/or streaming needs to be more expensive. Crazy that you can save money by buying a month of a streaming service to watch a movie vs buying the disc.Movies vs streaming feel really out of whack price wise.
TV shows vs streaming feels like you could break even. You can get some great TV series for $50 or less, that might take a few months to watch. I paid $50 for Game of Thrones on Blu-ray, and $60 for Breaking Bad on Blu-ray.
On the TV series side, you can actually save money by buying physical copies vs streaming.
Yet on the movie side that's basically impossible.
It can work out if you have kids who literally rewatch the same movie 20-40+ times.
If you're a sentimental person like me who wants to rewatch a lot of the same movies from time to time, like myself, it probably works out.
But if you're someone who wants a new movie experience every day, streaming is an insane value.
