Did you try XInput mapper? http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4-To-XInput-Wrapper . Works flawlessly. Can even change the color of the light and use the touchpad as a mouse!
hmm might fiddle aorund with that later, the one i had got the d pad working in other games just not ff8 lol so im blaming se.   its fine, its just to get me through a flights.  Im jsut happy i can play it offline, and get most of the controls.  i prefer the dpad for menus and combat but ill gt used to it

It's really simple. You just download this program and it works! As long as you have the 360 controller drivers for Windows (they should install automatically when you connect with USB for the first time)

Far Cry 4 is super awesome with the DS4, because it actually takes it natively.  :D

But yeah, get DS4Tool or something.  I believe there's a couple different ones.

The one I linked to is the best, the BEST!!

Follow around the links from PCSX 2.  There's a GUI based driver I'm currently using.  It uses the same backend as the other drives but gives you more options.  You can use key maps.  I was actually using the key maps on the nullDC emulator since 360 controllers don't work on it.  I can't get keymaps working for Bloodrayne 2 for whatever reason though :/

Wut, I don't think so!

DS4 tool does all that, and the source code section says DS4tool.

11 BEFORE ASKING QUESTION DOWNLOAD XinputTest and see if all buttons work. (A LOT OF GAMES REQUIRE HIDE DS4 TO BE ON)
IF XinputTest shows everything correctly the problem is with the game!

Explanation on what HIDE DS4 CONTROLLER checkbox does:

On another note, I think I am going to buy Oculus Rift next March or so.
If it's good at least.

@the-Pi-guy I told you to get the ui based version:

Web: http://dsdcs.com/portfolio/software-development/4-ds4windows

Forum: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-DS4Windows-Another-fork-another-thread

The UI one gives you keyboard mapping, as well as profiles and auto updates.

Welp, got my hard drive today, cd drive, and cheap video card so i could check out my stuff. Plug everything up and nothing.... The light on my mouse comes on for a second then off and nothing. Any ideas?

I think next march will be when the new/final dev kit is set to be revealed. I know I'll be getting one at least.

Would have got one sooner but I only have a laptop that I could play on right now. It runs games great, but that's at 900p(native screen size) 30fps. 1080p 75fps would kill the game visuals.
