I'm playing Erica.  didn't really know what to expect but kind of good actually. if done with better actors I could see something like this doing well actually.
Yeah it's not bad.

Really liked the stop motion visual style of interactions. Story wasn't too good imo though.

yeah. I really liked that too.  I didn't realize it was stop motion but now that you say it it makes sense.

I'm not far enough to judge the story.  excelant writing is essential in this kind of game but so far I've felt like it was more the acting than the writing.  I'm at most 2 hours into the game and I feel like I can't be any more than half way though.

as I play I can't help but think quantic dream could perfect this style to great affect.

I finished Heaven's Vault. Liked it a fair bit more than I expected.

Looked it up online though and oh boy. At least from the one presentation I saw, the developers really had no idea what they were doing with the language. It's not an English relex, but it's pretty close. The language is almost a satirical example of bad conlanging yet it actually felt pretty great while playing.

Story and some other things were the same way. After looking it up with all the different paths and options, it's significantly worse than I realized. Enjoyed it while playing though so I'm not sure how to feel about it.

More impressive to me though is that the art style works so much better.  KH2 felt a bit more jarring with the real life worlds. This game does it so much better.

Music: for whatever reason I feel like the music is less present in this game than the previous ones.

The first two games were so wonderful starting up the menu with this song.  And this game just hasn't reached that for me.

Overall story: it feels a little lacking. A lot of the story just seems to be revolving around what players like me missed or forgotten and it feels a bit strange. It just gives a strange tone.

World stories: a step up from KH2, a step down from KH1.
The stories are a lot like KH2 in that they are more like retreads of the same story from the movie, with a few exceptions.  But it's done better here. In the second game there were instances where they put in famous lines of dialogue from the movie and it was fine very poorly.  They were just thrown in without context and the dialogue didn't even make sense.

I still feel it's a step down from KH1.

Gameplay:
This game introduces so many more mechanics than the previous games. Some of them are great, some arent. On the whole I feel good about this game.  But for a while it was really putting me off of the game.

Conclusion:
On the whole, in some ways it's probably the best KH game, some ways it's probably the worst.  Overall though I still prefer the first two games.  But I can understand why someone might find this to be their favorite.

It is done.

I think ill give it an 8.5/10.

A lot better than I felt in the start. A bit of a step down for me from the previous games, but great nonetheless.

I'm turning off permadeath in Watch Dogs Legion.

My main person was killed in a shootout and it felt fair. I got greedy and deserved that. With my second best person I finished the mission but dinged a car on the way out and exploded. That death felt like GTA wacky physics and wasn't fun.

Other than that, the game is cool.

Legend

Watch Dogs Legion is seriously flawed but also really unique and cool. Playing as different people actually works really well. It feels like jumping into an already existing life. Every NPC really does have a full life including jobs and things outside the play zone.

Voice tech is pretty bad though. Everything is very monotone because of it.

This is the kind of stuff I heard about it, if you're into it it seems like a fun system but it replacing main playable characters seems like an overall loss rather than a gain for me.

I've got past halfway in Hyrule Warriors AoC now. I'm still loving it but I think only because its filling in lore and giving me story moments of my favourite game ever. Its a good game overall but has a lot of problems, I think the problems are pretty much standard Musou genre stuff though. Some problems to do with Switch's low power and the game looking ugly as sin at times.

I also started Sackboy. Its fun and is very well polished but there's nothing particularly amazing about it. Its funny how Nintendo is just on another level with platformers, still after all this time. Though, they don't put many of them out.

I haven't even been doing quests. Just running around the world exploring and recruiting.

If you want Watch Dogs 3, then yeah it's a huge downgrade. As its own thing though it's much better. The jank is problematic but was worth the tradeoff imo.

Astrobot: Rescue Mission is probably the only thing I feel comes close.

Yeah for sure, its the only one I've played from the last 10 years which has come close to 3D Mario's level.

I started playing Prey. Still really really early in the game but I am loving it.

Might have the best opening credits of a game ever.

I had been swapping back and forth between Cuphead and Hollow Knight for the first hour or so.

I don't think I will do that anymore though.

Cuphead is good.  But I feel like most of the length and enjoyment of the game comes from it's difficulty.  How long to beat has it at 10-20 hours.  Based on the successful attempts at levels and the progress that equated to, this would probably be like a 1-2 hour game otherwise.
That's fine, plenty of great games that are like that.
The game also does a great job of feeling fair so far. Probably will be a game I only finish once.

Hollow Knight on the other hand, I am getting into. I'm getting Bloodborne 2D vibes. Just getting better and better as I'm going through. Been a while since I've felt so excited about a game.

Legend

I finished Journey to the Savage Planet.

Was pretty fun. Way more of a puzzle game than anything else. Combat was barely serviceable. Final fight was a boring joke, although I did die once because it forced me to stand on lava. Story was all over the place but I enjoyed parts of it.

Remove the shooting, improve the story or just gut half the "haha dystopias am I right?" jokes, and it could have been high 80's imo. I thought the length was perfect. I thought the science progression sucked. Don't make random crud like that a core progression system! "Kill 10 enemies with melee without taking damage" should be a surprise unlock or a trophy hunter goal, not a required step towards unlocking important things. I powered through some but eventually gave up and embraced I'd never do it.

It was good fun playing it co-op with my friend. A perfect 7/10 game.
