During the "State of Unreal" GDC opening session, Goodbye Kansas and Deep Forest Films revealed "Troll," a real-time technology demonstration using Unreal Engine 4.22 ray tracing and camera effects, marking an unprecedented level of cinematic-quality lighting, with complex soft shadows and reflections.  Click to expand...  Considering it's a "Saga" there will be more of these in the future. The demo above is rendered in real time. Onstage they took control and moved the camera around and edited some of the lighting in realtime. Epic has gone on record stating their intention for UE4 isn't just for it to be used in the game industry but for films as well. They've already accomplished that goal somewhat as UE4 was involved in the production of Rogue One.
