Title: A score card for my life
Post by: Legend on Aug 06, 2019, 05:01 AM
I've been wanting to try this idea for a while. Basically it boils down to the fact that it is pretty easy to think about things I should do/improve, but it's harder to actually integrate them.

There is a daily score card and a weekly score card. Each one is a list of things that I either enjoy doing or should do, a weighting for that item, and then a score for how well I feel I have accomplished that item.

Part of this is gamification, if I'm honest. My brain likes numbers and I feel like trying to keep that number high would help encourage things. Second part is self encouragement. I rarely get time in to work as a developer nowadays so it be kinda nice to think of the other things as a positive.

I'll use this thread to track my progress. Items on my score cards are pretty personal (and I'm still drafting them) but I'll share what I can.

61 yesterday. Not sure what that means, but so far I'm doing a better job remembering small things like Japanese practice.
