Accordingly, I am issuing a retraction on our original story.

To IGN fans who have criticized the rest of the staff for this reporting, understand the decision to post this story was mine alone.

To Sony and Team ICO, who have had to address unexpected controversy on the eve of the year's largest celebration of gaming, I apologize.

they dont deserve any attention,  they printed something they knew was iffy because it would gets loads of clicks, and knew if it was still around sony would refute it somehow getting them more clicks,   and now they apolagize, getting even more clicks.     fudge them

i love the mockery that IGN has become. funnily enough if they just reported this as "rumor" instead of "official" people would have given them much more slack. they deserve every bit of mockery and bad rep they are getting. their acts were just an unprofessional sour apple of journalism
