https://www.resetera.com/threads/ps5-exclusive-final-fantasy-game-may-be-revealed-in-june-not-endwalker-xvi-or-viir.429278/post-65550887I'm interested.
So it is indeed Souls-inspired FF. This'll be interesting.
https://www.resetera.com/threads/alex-donaldson-from-vg247-the-most-comprehensive-big-event-leak-ive-seen-in-years-is-currently-happening-behind-the-scenes.430568/When even leaks get leaked. :'(
We're about to get a massive leak it seems
They said its not MS.
Apparently its Square (not the same source)
The game, which appears to be exclusive to PlayStation 5 with a PC release further down the road, will be one of Square Enix's tentpoles at their upcoming E3 show. For whatever reason, several large chunks of the undated June show have leaked out, including the Final Fantasy Origin's logo and demo plans.
Just what E3 needs, more leaks :'(You tried Jedi Fallen Order?
I've never been able to really get into soulsborne/nioh. Wonder if this will be the one for me.
You tried Jedi Fallen Order? On my backlog. Expecting to like it, but I didn't realize it was soulsborne like.
On my backlog. Expecting to like it, but I didn't realize it was soulsborne like.Yeah its a souls-like but it has 4 difficulty settings, so its often considered the most accessible souls-like game (for some other reasons too). There's a native next-gen version with free-upgrade soon to release for it, perfect time to play it.

Is there a way to embed countdowns in a post? You can add multiple countdowns to the op. That's what I've done years prior.

I think for most of the shows, we can have this as a general hype thread and only make dedicated threads the day of.Yeah this makes sense, whoever gets the thread gets the thread.
Also I have a bbq on the 13th lol. :P
Sony is 100% having some kind of event or presentation in the Summer. I know for a fact they are working on the GoW trailer for it. Likely June I believe
Sorry guys, I think I mentioned in another post after that that my info was a bit old. I haven't been able to confirm if it's still as scheduled. Just FYIMaybe not then
I think for most of the shows, we can have this as a general hype thread and only make dedicated threads the day of.So lame. :'(
so it only just dawned on me that I'll miss all of E3,.. family vacation that week.No only bad videos are allowed to be posted ::)
please post the good videos for me to find later.
And a message from Valve regarding Steam
https://www.resetera.com/threads/valve-will-be-at-the-pc-gaming-show-2021.437914/Steam handheld lol
Steam handheld lolAh yes, the PC gaming show.
Anyone want some big ol' leaks? https://www.resetera.com/threads/some-e3-2021-game-announcements-potentially-leaked-by-known-reddit-leaker-open-spoilers.440308/#post-67033606Will click after the shows. Don't trust groupthink with records but I'd assume it's legit. So many randos need to be in the loop in the last few days before a show.
Seems to be a list of a lot of the games that will be shown at Ubi and xbox shows & perhaps other shows too. (This person is apparently extremely reliable, 100% track record).
They were asked in the comments about Nintendo Direct and said they might have a list later.
Nintendo apparently leaked a game on their website.Lol those are the e3 leaks that are fun.
Seems like "E3" this year will just end up being the Xbox and Nintendo shows plus Elden Ring trailer. Maybe Square will show up, we'll see.If Avatar wasn't at Ubisoft, I think I'd have ranked it as their worst show ever.
If Avatar wasn't at Ubisoft, I think I'd have ranked it as their worst show ever. For sure, it might still have been even with Avatar. Its certainly low tier.
I hope it's not a sign that Xbox and Nintendo will also be skimpy.
For sure, it might still have been even with Avatar. Its certainly low tier.I think the pandemic really cleaned this year out. Every game will either be near release just waiting to show off or a cgi trailer. Nintendo hopefully has a lot of the former and Xbox is happy with a lot of the later.
We'll see, I fully believe Xbox and Nintendo will be their usual selves this year. Doesn't mean they can't have a down year, that possibility is always there, but it won't be unusually bad at least.
My metric for how bad this year has been: I have yet to watch any easy allies reactions.I've watched all the shows with Easy Allies first time so far, it's beenbeen the only reason I've enjoyed it outside od the Elden Ring trailer and Devolver so far.
Elden Ring looked great but wasn't shocking (my fault maybe for watching the leak).
The indie shows had great games but I mostly just want to play them.
Rabbids Mario looks cool but with Nintendo posting it early it just felt safe. Biggest change was removing the grid yet they didn't go into details.
I'll probably watch them react to Avatar.

I feel like it was expected that the E3 shows this year were going to not be as good due to Covid, but I feel the impact was different than I expected. There's just not much coming soon, and unnanounced projects are in flux too much to announce.
There's just not much coming soon, and unnanounced projects are in flux too much to announce.Microsoft announced games that were really far off last year like Avowed, Fable, State of Decay 3, Everwild? that all seem to be late 2022+.
Microsoft announced games that were really far off last year like Avowed, Fable, State of Decay 3, Everwild? that all seem to be late 2022+.Grubb has just said Everwild was rebooted after the creative director left, now aiming 2023-2024.
This conference wasn't terribly different, but it seemed like it focused more on the next ~18 months than last years show.
These games they announced last year were 2 or maybe even 3 years too early. The ones this year could be as well. But they didn't really announce that much. A huge chunk of the show was updates to older games, and third party stuff that was expected this year.
Switch Pro announced?No.
No.Lies in the Nintendo thread
Lies in the Nintendo threadThat was a joke about the Game and Watch hardware being released.
I'm guessing they'll announce it in August then
That was a joke about the Game and Watch hardware being released.Lol it's pretty difficult to read live threads after the fact
Ubi:I was thinking dude how on earth was Avatar the best reveal for you, it was just an okay teaser trailer. But then I was thinking, well what was a better reveal? So yeah, maybe.
Rainbow 6 Extraction looked better than I expected, but still just ok.
Mario+Rabbids was nice.
Avatar was amazing.
Xbox:
Starfield was short but left me excited.
Forza Horizon 5 looks great.
The Outer Wilds 2 had a great trailer.
Stalker 2 looked interesting.
Atomic Heart looked interesting.
Contraband looked interesting.
Plague Tale 2 is great.
Redfall was extremely disappointing.
Nintendo:
Metroid Dredd looks great.
BOTW2 was extremely exciting but has left me feeling nervous.
Xbox had the best show imo. They felt like a non pandemic year which is disappointing because of the Xbox+Bethesda potential, but a solid 6 or 7 out of 10.
Ubisoft had the best reveal with Avatar imo. I'm biased but when comparing it to Starfield, The Outer Worlds 2, and BOTW2, it actually showed a lot. Don't think it makes up for the rest of the show. Solid 5 or 6 out of 10.
Nintendo had what will end up being the best game, but I don't think it was a good showing. Solid 5 or 6 out of 10.
TLDR: yeah very bad year but I'm glad the companies still put these shows together.
I was thinking dude how on earth was Avatar the best reveal for you, it was just an okay teaser trailer. But then I was thinking, well what was a better reveal? So yeah, maybe. The best thing about Avatar is its immersive world building. The game's teaser is so great imo because it is nailing that world. Showing gameplay or the plot would have probably made it look worse haha.
Forza Horizon 5 was far and away the best reveal for me, but if you're not into racing games and super into Avatar maybe Avatar was the best. Here's how I'd rank the new game reveals that I can remember:
Forza Horizon 5
Avatar
Guardians of the Galaxy
Metroid Dread
Advance Wars 1+2 Remake
Mario + Rabbids 2
Redfall
The Outer Worlds 2
Warioware
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
Jurassic World Evolution 2
CHAOS
Oh, oh man. What a bad e3.
Elden Ring had the best trailer. Forza Horizon 5 game of the show. Only really those two games that got me super excited (plus BOTW2, but that was more because I'm incredibly hyped for it anyway rather than on merit on what was shown).
The best thing about Avatar is its immersive world building. The game's teaser is so great imo because it is nailing that world. Showing gameplay or the plot would have probably made it look worse haha. The FH5 reveal showed of the insane visuals and the new setting really well, also went over some cool new features.
I don't care too much about Forza horizon trailers because the games are such a known quantity. They're incredible, but not that interesting to think about pre-release.
On the brightside, maybe this E3 sucks and next E3 will kick our socks off.I think this will just be the off year. Covid took out tons of productivity and we felt most of that this week.
