I don't think the gameplay itself looks terrible. I didn't actually realize how JRPG the game is, so that makes it more interesting for me.Hopefully they can fix most of these issues before launch. Then it remains to be seen if the game is actually interesting heh. At least the effects look really cool
But there are a bunch of weird issues:
Weird how long it takes to open and close the menu.
A fair amount of performance issues. There's still time though.
The map is black and dark gray for some reason.
A lot of people are bothered by how much she talks, but eh whatever.
Not sure why this would be the first real gameplay trailer they would put out. Still 6 months or so before launch.

I think the criticism is a bit much, but still there's a good handful of issues in this short video.
