I have had my ps4 for just over 6 years now (got it shortly after infamous second son released). Having read the "battle of the backlog" thread i was curious to see what my own personally fore-log(?) was. so i flipped through my ps4 library and wrote down everything i played so that i could review my last gens worth of gaming:

Expect to play at least 85-90 by ps5 release. Final count was 97 so i exceeded expectations!!
I have358 392 games in my digital library
-194 209 of them are from ps+
I have 1 game in my physical library (astro bot was bundled with my psvr)
I played an addition 17 games from my library there were purchased on ps3 or psvita and added to my library via cross-play.
I played17 21 of the ps+ titles (including rocket league which has over 1000 hours of play)
- as a sub note i'm really excited to have just gotten hollow knight. legend got me excited for soma. i'm also excited for RE7, Persona 5, FF XV, Crash, and Days Gone from the upcoming playstation collection.
(17 / 194) = ~8.7% (21 / 209) = 10.0 of my ps+ library gets played
(90 - 17) / (358 - 194) = ~44.5% (97 - 21) / (392 - 209) = ~41.5% of my purchased library gets played
Netflix/Amazon is watched on ps4 approximately 20-30 hours a week.
- mostly that is my wife and kids. most of my tv is watched on the commuter train on an ipad. i probably watch 2-3 hours a week at home.
Library movie rental is 3 discs a week.
Adjusted Console Price:$7.77 $7.21 per game played. (i have 2 ps4's purchased at $400 and $300).

I really wanted share-play to be awesome but I have had limited success with my friend I have gaming dates with. Establishing a connection can be spotty and the 1 hour time limit really sucks.
I used digital pre-order downloading twice (Uncharted 4 and God of War).
Overall it has been a great gen. My game console is really the epicenter of my home entertainment. At an assumed $500, the ps5 will be an easy purchase for me to justify buying despite the cost increase gen-over-gen.
