Yeah seems like XB1X is over a minute and S is similar too for a cold boot. Resume can be 30 seconds+

I just tested on my ps4 slim. 17 seconds rest mode resume, 41 seconds cold boot to usable UI. XSX is 3 seconds and 20 seconds, so that resume time is a huge generational leap but cold boot still quite a long time.
O.0

wow that is terrible.

I'm jelly. Busy today and can't watch any videos.

Have people been able to play anything besides pure bc games?

Nah just BC.

the-pi-guy

Wait.

Have we seriously still not seen a single new game running on XSX?

They have probably planned another day for that I think.

I think there may have been an indie game or two that was shown running on Series X. Certainly nothing that screams "this is the power of the strongest console ever". Probably because they have nothing like that.

Don't think so.

We saw Dirt 5 on Series S.

Has 802 GB of space on hard drive for games and storage.

That's a lot lower than I hoped for, unless it includes quick resume and things like that as well.

Also will be interesting to see how that compares to PS5's listed 825 GB ssd. Might be a lot closer than I thought.

Apparently previous Xbox boot times are pretty atrocious.

Xbox One X takes over a minute.

So people are pretty impressed with this stuff.

RDR2 takes over a minute to cold boot on series x. Dang that's way too long.

Yeah iirc something 30GB is reserved for quick resume and that's included. 802GB is all for games storage.

PS5 could have 700GB storage space, only 100GB less.

Rockstar must have some really bad tech somewhere on that side of things. Their load times are truly atrocious.

931GB - ~40 GB for quick resume - X = 802GB

I'm guessing PS5 will be around ~700 GB.

Where did you get this number?
It said 37/38 seconds for RDR2, although 20s for cold booting the Xbox.

That's only 58 seconds!

What about Astrobot? Might take another 10-20gb.
I bet on ps5 having like 680gb free. Still less than the 180gb difference quoted

astrobot will certainly be deletable.   pre-loaded doesn't me forever loaded.

IGN video had RDR2 at 65 seconds!

I just watched that bit.

I'm a little confused by that bit.

They talk about running external HDD vs internal SSD, but then it looks like the comparison is Xbox One X vs Xbox Series X.

A bit longer than the other numbers
