You're about to get an exciting look at some of the incredible games ahead with Xbox, as we present a new edition of Developer_Direct. On Thursday, January 18 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm UK, fans will get an inside look at a selection of highly anticipated games coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass. Shortly after, ZeniMax Online Studios will host The Elder Scrolls Online 2024 Global Reveal at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm UK to preview 2024's biggest update.

Presented by the game creators themselves, Developer_Direct offers an in-depth look at upcoming titles, how they're being created, and who's creating them. We'll visit MachineGames in Sweden to check in on their Indiana Jones game, swing by Obsidian's Irvine offices to see more from Avowed, head to Oxide Games' Maryland home to learn about Ara: History Untold, and take a trip to Cambridge, England to see Senua's Saga: Hellblade II from Ninja Theory. Please note that while this show won't have updates on games from Activision Blizzard, you can look forward to news from those teams later this year.

so does that imply indiana jones is far enough along to possibly ship this year?  the other 3 are probably 2024 but indy is pretty far off i thought.

Shinobi implies it's coming sooner than you expect.

Indy is shocking, really surprised we will be seeing that already.
If you knew when it's coming out, not really.

I really want to know what the treasure is for Indiana. The teaser shows the vatican so it'd be pretty cool to go down past these ropes and fight beneath it.

St. Peter's Baldachin - Wikipedia
The current building is "new" but it's the same plot where Peter was crucified. The two white "columns" on the mid right of the pic are actually repurposed from the previous building.

TIL that the obelisk that stands at the centre of Saint Peter's Square in  Vatican City, is a four thousand year old Egyptian obelisk that was brought  to Rome from Alexandria by

The obelisk out front is actually the oldest thing at the vatican. It's an old Egyptian obelisk that the romans used and is sometimes called "the witness" since it was there at Peter's crucifixion. Could definitely have the game hide something in it.

Or the game will just show the vatican for a quick cutscene and then the rest will be at a made up ancient city  :P

Do people even care about Indianna Jones? I've never heard anyone mention the IP to me as a big deal in the UK. Maybe it's a US thing?

Is it an age thing as well? I'm 31 and just never heard of millennial's ever care about it.

possibly.  the 3 good films where 81, 84, 89.     technically i'm a millennial but i'm on the line as the oldest you can be and still be counted a millennial: 41.

for me the 80's and early 90's is a high point of movies.  i love the practical effects used in that era before CGI took over.

Indiana Jones was huge in the US.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of the biggest movies ever, when it came out.

It is somewhat of a generational thing, as Kitler said the good films were from over 34 years ago. Most people regard the 2 newer films as being pretty disappointing.  I don't think people are clamoring for another new movie at this point, but I think a solid game could do very well in the US.

It's funny you say that because Uncharted has always done much better in Europe than North America.

no context of course but this is (imo) a terribly bland name.   not giving me confidence they nailed the vibe of Indy.

Wow really dumb so I bet it's true.

We betting Indianna Jones is 3rd or first person? First person would be a big gamble.
