Saw 4 episodes of Lord of the Rings last night. I actually enjoy the pacing for the most part. There's things television lends to better than movies and they're taking advantage of that. They're letting things breath vs having to be concise like a movie has to be.

Finished Vox Machina. It was good.

Slowly watching She-Hulk. Two episodes behind. I'm also enjoying it.

Finished The Boys over the summer, well until the latest episode anyways. It was great. Such a great deconstruction of super heroes.

Finished Stranger Things a month back. dang. That season was up there with Lost for me in terms of emotions. Even the creepy stuff was so well done.

nnodley

Yeah I'm liking she hulk. It's a pretty good breath of fresh air for the mcu. Some of the side characters are so good. Tatiana is so good as well

I love homelander

Doesn't mean I agree with his views or agree with his actions. He is just an awesome villian
That's really the issue. He terrifies me.

BananaKing

Thats whats awesome with him. He is so strong, but so fragile mentally. Theoretically one sentence can be the difference between him being subdued and calming down, to him ranging and brining on the armageddon right then and there.

The more the show goes on, the more he realises people around him arent supporting him but using him, and he has been getting rid of them one by one. But the more he does that, the closer he gets to snapping.

Come on man, the simpsons above breaking bad??

The only ones I've not seen of those are The Wire that number 10 (never heard of it)

Also I'd say atlanta being so high is probably due to recency bias. It's great but I wouldn't call it one of the best shows I've seen

Shows I've watched random episodes of:
2. The Simpsons
6. Seinfeld
18. Saturday Night Live
25. M*A*S*H
45. Columbo
56. Community

Shows I've watched all the way through:
30. Parks and Recreation
34. The Office (US)
40. The Good Place
49. Friends
96. Rick and Morty

Shows I'm planning to watch soon:
3. Breaking Bad (currently watching)
31. Game of Thrones
32. Better Call Saul

Simpsons is a weird one. It's been bad most of its life, but the highs? Season 2-6 is, in my opinion, the greatest comedy and satirical show ever and has impacted pop culture in a way that few shows ever has. The rest? Not so much.

I feel like I usually see Seasons 2-9, sometimes 2-10 as being the high for Simpsons.

I feel like a lot of people view that as being pretty much the best television has to offer.

I feel like that list is very biased against animation though.
There's only 4 on that entire list. And there a few I would put ahead of Rick and Morty.

I personally feel season 10 was indeed the last best season. But you can actually see when Simpsons was falling off with the Halloween episodes. They were all strong until Treehouse of Horrors 6. While 6 wasn't bad, you can see they were running into issues with writing, the bit with Groundskeeper Willy as Freddy Kreuger was probably the last best skit they did, the rest of the episode was bland. So that was season 7.

I'd put more above Rick and Morty too, as good as it is.

can't say i really care of that list. seems biased to a specific kind of viewer (artsy) and not truely universal with a crud load of recency bias. some shows i was upset not to see anywhere:
- gilmore girls
- dr who

there are probably others worthy of the top 100. its more that there were quite a few shows that made my eyes roll seeing them on the list. like the crown?!? are you fudgy kidding me. if queen Elizabeth had not just died this show wouldn't have been anywhere near a top 100 list.

I like the crown though. It's very well made with quality acting. Elisabeth's death no doubt bumps it up a bit though

Rings of Power:

Spoiler for Hidden:
Episode 6 was on the better side of okay. There were some things that really bugged me about the episode, but it still had some of the best moments out of the whole series.

But on that note...
It bugged me so much that they like sped up the horses. That was like one of the better scenes and they made it shorter.

I've been really really happy with rings of power as of late. Some things are meh but it's smarter than I expected. That episode is my favorite so far too.

Spoiler for Hidden:
I loved how they thought the humans were orcs. The concept of a bunch of farmers killing a bunch of orcs so easily was pretty stupid, so I was really happy when the show twisted it around.

I also like how they let the bad guys win. I kept expecting it to be something super bland but I did not expect the volcano at all. Sure the elfs should have checked the sword in the cloth but that wouldn't have changed the outcome.
