Puppeteer!
Jim the Flying Ghost Man.
Oh video game?
I'm not playing anything.
Nice, does it have a Halloween vibe? Also has anyone else played Jersey Devil? I remember playing a demo of it back in the day. Had a Halloween vibe to it.
@BasilZero no Darksiders 2 here... woman >:(

@BasilZero no Darksiders 2 here... woman >:(
Finished TWD Season 1 like almost 2 weeks ago and half-life 1 last week.
Darksiders 2 for me this month ;)
Also been playing Killing Floor and playing/recording a playthrough of Left 4 Dead 2.
Other than that the only other thing I am doing Halloween wise not gaming though is watching The Walking Dead and watching AVGN's Cinemassacre Monster Madness 2014 series.
Nice, head over to the t.v. thread and we'll talk about the nerd and his monster madness. Too bad he hasn't done halloween games in a while.
He did Beetlejuice which is apparently uploaded last night? Although I could of sworn I remember him doing it few years ago....I saw the Beetlejuice, but I haven't watched it yet. the Castlevania one was the last one.
So I was gonna start playing Infamous: Festival of Blood. Has anyone played through it?
Or maybe I got it with ps+?
I remember playing Halo and Halo 2 and getting freaked out on the Flood levels when I was a little kid. Definitely not a horror game, but it really stuck in my mind.
Well I've been playing the FIFA 15 demo over and over. To lose against Chelsea as Barcelona is pretty horrifying!
Chelsea aren't a bad team! Although it depends what difficulty you were playing on.
I'm thinking of downloading outlast again
Just Professional. Well it's usually pretty close but I sometimes make a mistake so they win 1-0. Messi is way more useful in Semi-Pro than in Professional because he can get some space to work his magic there.
You lost in professional? What a noob....
Indeed. But I can win them though. I haven't bought a FIFA since FIFA 12 I think but I always play the demos quite a bit. Also, I never play online and rarely against real-life competition (my friends don't play...or my family members - weird, I know)
Less Fifa more Festival of BLOOD!
What if we dress the players up in Halloween costumes?
Yeah it has a whole halloween themed world!
It's that time of year again. Time to download Infamous: Festival of Blood, dust off your move controllers to play House of the Dead: Overkill, and play Resident Evil 6 coop with me XDHow depressing, I swear it was August yesterday.

Okay so Illfonic appears to be the developer who made the FPS module for Star Citizen and then got jettisoned off as they took the updates internal, and it looks like the other developer is "gun." of Breach & Clear fame. I'm not entirely clear on who is doing what, but this seems to be a bizarre mishmash on top of the budgeting setup and missing information.
QuoteWhat is Friday the 13th: The Game? Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night. That's right...1v7 multiplayer set in the semi-open world of Camp Crystal Lake! It's a classic horror fan's dream, no shaky cam, no found footage. We want you to know we're revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment. Friday the 13th is the definition of horror to the millions of fans around the world. A masked killer going after the young and vulnerable; it grabs our attention, it frightens us, and yet we all come back for more. Friday the 13th: The Game will give you the feeling of horror and dread that you expect from Jason Voorhees. This will be the ultimate asymmetrical horror experience unlike anything you've seen - a title we're proud to introduce that is worthy of the name 'Friday the 13th'.
QuoteWhat happened to Summer Camp? We were already building Slasher Vol.1: Summer Camp, and we've been creating and testing an internal prototype for some time now. You may recall that we announced Summer Camp last Fall via IGN. Soon after, Sean Cunningham personally reached out to us behind the scenes. That's when things got awesome. Jason's watching you! Jason's watching you! Sean came to us in early 2015, but we quickly discovered these weren't the normal business conversations you would have when you try to secure a license as important as Friday the 13th. It was totally different. It was a conversation built on mutual admiration and respect for what each had created. Sean immediately noticed the passion we had for Friday the 13th, and after several incredible meetings over the next few months, we decided to upgrade our plans for Summer Camp and embrace the Friday the 13th video game license. After several incredible meetings over the next few months, Sean surprised us by offering the Friday the 13th video game license. It was literally a dream come true for a group of lifelong fans. He knew he could trust us with the most coveted horror IP ever, and we plan to make good on that promise to both him and you, the millions of loyal Friday the 13th fans around the world.
QuoteSingleplayer That really depends on where this Kickstarter campaign takes us. Summer Camp was originally conceived as a multiplayer title only, and thus was budgeted as such. It was only after taking on Friday the 13th that we really started to dream up plans to bring Jason to life in ways that everyone has wanted to experience (but no one has been able to create to date). To that end, the proposed single player portion will give you the Jason experience you've never had; direct through his eyes. We'll be offering several 'scenarios' based off classic movie scenes from the franchise as you stalk and kill each and every counselor from a first person perspective. Not to leave the counselors out, we'll be adding several counselor scenarios where you'll have to confront your fears and take on Jason directly, especially in compromising situations! We are not going for anything less than a Mature Rating on this; the franchise deserves it! These scenarios might also make their way to VR, and would bring an entirely new perspective to the slasher genre!
How depressing, I swear it was August yesterday. What if I told you it was August yesterday?
I hope Until Dawn gets a discount for the occasionPlus a few others. I actually want costume quest to go on sale.
What if I told you it was August yesterday? Are you the doctor?
Are you the doctor?Even better!
@Legend when is Friday the 13th coming out?No clue

Funny, I started watching the latest season a few days ago. That's the first time I've ever watched Doctor Who and I'm enjoying it! Only the 2 episodes left.
You bastards need to go play some resident evil 4 or something :o
REmake is free this month on psn.Closer to halloween I think I'll play my first RE game!
I think I might Bloodborne and Umbrella Chronicles for this year.
Closer to halloween I think I'll play my first RE game!Did you word that right because from here it sounded like you haven't played Resident Evil! Which we know can't be can't be true! Right?
Closer to halloween I think I'll play my first RE game! The remake is on ps+! Though if you decide RE6 I've got the ps4 version sitting on my hardrive. It's a pretty dang good coop game.
Did you word that right because from here it sounded like you haven't played Resident Evil! Which we know can't be can't be true! Right? If there's one thing you should know about my gaming habits...
FFXV will be my first FF gameMadness. :o
If there's one thing you should know about my gaming habits...Do yourself a favour and play MGS 3 and Silent Hill 2. Resi Remake is good but the clunky controls remain. The puzzle element to the resi and Silent Hill games are also great.
it's that I've somehow never played tons of franchises. MGSV GZ was my first MG game, FFXV will be my first FF game, and RE remake will be my first RE game. Silent Hills would have been my first SH game.
Do yourself a favour and play MGS 3 and Silent Hill 2. Resi Remake is good but the clunky controls remain. The puzzle element to the resi and Silent Hill games are also great.I loved MGSV so freaking much so I'll play the others eventually.
Madness. :oWell I played KH if that counts ;D
I loved MGSV so freaking much so I'll play the others eventually.Resi isn't really much of a horror game. It relies mostly on cheap jump scares. Silent Hill on the other hand did horror games right. Interesting that you wanted to play Silent Hills because judging by PT it was going to be the the most messed up out of all of them.
Not a fan of horror games so that's why I've skipped SH and Resi. Can't beat PS+ free though.
Well I played KH if that counts ;D

I still can't play through the first Silent Hill :(silent hill 1 is still the best ps1 game even better then mgs 1 imo you should try it
silent hill 1 is still the best ps1 game even better then mgs 1 imo you should try itI had a great time with Silent Hill first time around but the controls were awkward then and feels horrendous to play now.
i remember when i finished sh1 back in 1999 when i was 10
my older brother was 21 back then when he reached the house on levin street he stopped playing cuz he was to scared
then he asked me to continue the game for him and i remember that he said to me if i beat the game for him he will buy crash bandicoot 3 for me lol
man i miss those days my life was so simple back then

the only thing i hate about the first silent hill is the puzzles especially that annoying paino puzzle
I tried RE for 15 minutes. Does it get better?Which one?
Which one?First. Everything is just so outdated even in the remaster.
(I've only played 5.)
First. Everything is just so outdated even in the remaster. It probably doesn't get better. I was thinking of popping it in tonight, but it won't happened. Played the original for about the same amount of time. It hasn't aged well...
Will maybe play it some other time.
I might play resident evil revelations.I "might" be half way through.
I got to a boss. I died. I went to watch a video. There was a rifle and a shotgun I never picked up. I backtracked and got them. You review your gameplay captures?
You review your gameplay captures? No I went to watch a youtube video of someone killing the boss. I had a hunch I was missing weapons since there was all this shotgun and rifle ammo lying around.
Trying to decide my halloween game. Thinking rise of the tomb raider. Not too much halloween stuff but it's on my backlog.Play Resident Evil you lazy bum
So I'm working my way through RE2 on Dreamcast. Jill has a boyfriend D:Is it surprising that she has a boyfriend? ???
Is it surprising that she has a boyfriend? ???It'd be as surprising as Chris being married. Still, poor boyfriend. Jill was like, went missing, cryogenically frozen, and brainwashed.
So Hallween's early this year. Since it's so dark, gloomy and rainy here. I've gotten in a mood to play some Castlevania. I think I might pick up the PS2 ones.really realy, old thread but a great necro bump.
I'm also trying to finish up Medievil 2 (Which I got at Anime North) before the Medievil remake comes out.
i boy,.. i really love redheads. felicia day is dang sexy and this video was a great watch. This is filled with "Gouls n Ghosts" ;o (And more)
really realy, old thread but a great necro bump. Not really a necro-bump.
Not really a necro-bump.we'll whatever. I downloaded both until dawn games. happy Halloween to me.
This thread is a staple during halloween season.
we'll whatever. I downloaded both until dawn games. happy Halloween to me.so i played 1 level of until dawn rush of blood last night.
so i played 1 level of until dawn rush of blood last night. How was the VR?
1. they took the "on-rails" shooter quite literally but putting me onto a roller coaster cart. it's amazing how exhilarating the simply act of riding in a cart can be while in VR.
2. it's been a long time since i played a rail shooter. not my favorite genre but i do like it. really a great genre for VR compared to non-VR.
3. my controller tracking was god awful last night. i had just played a couple levels of astro bot where controller tracking was also needed and worked flawlesly so i'm going to blame the game. every time i tried to re-center the controller it centered with my aiming reticle pointed about 60 degrees to the left.
4. i don't want to judge the game too harsh based on one level but it was mostly a shooting gallery (fire at inanimate objects with targets drawn on them) and just a few "clowns". as far as core gameplay goes it's not that good. i did like the part where i get to control 2 guns,.. that's a cool improvement over 2D rail shooters.
i'll play at least one more level but if i don't see improvement i don't see me finishing this game.
How was the VR?it was okay. i haven't played those other games but there is a good chance they are better games.
I still have to play House of the Dead 3 and 4 on Move. Same with the two Resident Evil light gun games.
Pumpkin Jack is coming out this year. I remember seeing it last year. Looks like a take on Medievil. Will look at it for sure when it's out.looks good enough to scratch a halloween itch. why isn't this coming to playstation?!?
looks good enough to scratch a halloween itch. why isn't this coming to playstation?!?Something about covid. The porting team must have ran into issues.
Concerning the PS4 logo not showing at the end of the trailer:
— ???? Pumpkin Jack ???? - COMING 23 OCT (@thepumpkinjack) October 6, 2020
Don't worry, the game will come on PS4 too! But due to many reasons (mostly Covid), the game will be delayed on PS4 and will come a few weeks later.
I am REALLY sorry about this and hope that you understand it all. ??
well i guess that means i buy it next year. who'll want to play this over thanksgiving?!?Yeah. I wouldn't. I downloaded the demo. I haven't had a chance to try it.
i'm still working on until dawn. not saying it's a bad game but i do have a hard time playing it as a guy that doesn't actually like "horror" games or movies. This is why I only ever watch playthroughs of horror games if I'm interested in them, I just can't play them.
soo dang many jump scares...
i'm still working on until dawn. not saying it's a bad game but i do have a hard time playing it as a guy that doesn't actually like "horror" games or movies. So good
soo dang many jump scares...
i should be finishing bugsnax pretty soon.Batman Origins is like, the closest thing.
last year i got about half way though until dawn. i think i'll try to finish that this year. i'm also thinking of picking up that pumpkin jack game that missed the halloween season last year. reviews seem decent,.. not expecting anything mindblowing but it looks like a good way to get into the halloween spirit. either that or maybe i'll finally pick up little nightmares. ...or maybe play soma.
halloween has soo many games to choose from. i really wish someone would make a good xmas themed game.
Started the RE2 Remake. Godamn.let me know more about that as you play. i'm a day or 2 away from finishing bugsnax and was thinking of picking that up.
Also started Pumpkin Jack. So far it's been good.
Started Bloodstained
let me know more about that as you play. i'm a day or 2 away from finishing bugsnax and was thinking of picking that up.I haven't put much more time on it since the other day. But it felt like a good simple platformer. It's a pretty decent re-imagining of Medievil. Like it feels like what Medievil would be if it was made today with modern technologies. It's smooth, but at the same combat is worse. The first Medievil got that done well enough for the type of game that it is. I'll let you know how long it is. I'm still only in the beginning.
Not feeling vampyr. Told me that every action mattered and killing was bad, but the opening keeps forcing me to kill people.I remember explaining to my friend "It feels like a last gen 360 game. But not in a bad way." last year. He told me last week he played it a bit and said "How you described it is exactly what it feels like". Cause explaining that it feels like a 360 game is very vague. He also had the same complaints as you about "Killing is bad" he was like "I'm a vampire now, you shouldn't be making me feel bad".

I made it to the hospital and can definitely see what's to love about the social/feeding mechanic, but I think I'm done with it. I prob should have selected story mode cause the combat feels 360 like too haha.
4 is normal. I'd maybe even say most games use the right analog.4 is not normal. most allow control from either analog. it's awkward to have one hand do nothing and the other hand do two things.
Everything else sounds whack. Why did you plat it!?
4 is not normal. most allow control from either analog. it's awkward to have one hand do nothing and the other hand do two things.I can imagine the combo of R1 and the right stick feeling odd if it's done without a reason, but right stick is definitely the default for radial menus. I even googled it ::)
most trophies were unskippable. the only ones you had to work for was to collect all the collectables. ..but most were not well hidden. 3/5 levels I got all collectables on the first play. I decided to just go back to the two levels I missed something and get them. the difference between plating and not playing was like an hour.
I can imagine the combo of R1 and the right stick feeling odd if it's done without a reason, but right stick is definitely the default for radial menus. I even googled it ::)definetly not for rachet and clank. to bring up the weapon wheel you hold down triangle and select with the left analog. it wouldn't even be possible to controll the weapon wheel with a right analog and continue to press triangle outside of a "claw grip". the point is the control is split left/right. if the radial menu is access via the d-pad (which is common enough) i would expect the right analog to be used.
I kinda view getting a plat as rewarding a game, if that makes sense. I'd purposefully avoid getting the plat if I wasn't liking it a lot. I'm not a trophy hunter though. Only have plats for Uncharted 2, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Uncharted 4, God of War, telltale forced plat, and Astro's Playroom.
I'm finally playing Until Dawn for halloween!Such a fun game though
The animations feel pretty dated.
Such a fun game thoughI'm really enjoying roleplaying as the actual people. So instead of searching every room, I actually focus on the objective.
I'm finally playing Until Dawn for halloween! They were always bad. But its an awesome game.
The animations feel pretty dated.
I feel like this was the first year I was really able to do some halloween gaming. Thanks for the thread dark!I'm glad you did, I didn't get much done. I didn't even put on Medievil this year. My friend's have been playing Splitgate every night, so from like 8-10:30 I'm on Splitgate. It took away from other games. I did finish watching season 3 of Castlevania, and I got to a part of Ash vs Evil Dead where I don't want to continue anymore =D. I tried watching the rest of Sabrina, but it's starting to drag on. Can't say I blame Netflix for cancelling the show. Started off so strong, but then jumped the shark in a meh way.
They were always bad. But its an awesome game.Didn't they make some episodic series of games for some publisher after the Until Dawn sequel?
I wish we got more from Sony/supermassive games. After until dawn their quality seemed to drop
Normally I zombie this thread after Thanksgiving here, but I've been trying to play the Resident Evil 1 Remake. I'm taking a "Oh well, I'm going to die anyways" approach to the game. While I only played maybe a few hours of the original on my Vita a few years back, so I don't remember much, but I feel like they made the zombies harder to kill. I unloaded 13 bullets into one zombie and he didn't drop to his knees, but he died instead. They made it hard to conserve ammo. If I'm remembering right, in RE2 and 3 it's like 3 shots and they'd drop, so I could knife them. I have no idea what's going on here. Overall it's just as cheesy as the original with the bad voice acting. I don't mind the restarting as it lets me try out things and not worry about wasting ammo on zombies, then when I'm ready to move on I'll do it right. But I'm not sure how long I can keep that up without getting annoyed.I've never played a resident evil game but that sounds whack.
Didn't they make some episodic series of games for some publisher after the Until Dawn sequel?
from the 2 RE games i played (5,6 with my co-op buddy) what i believe i observed is that he was amazing at the game and i completely sucked and it all came down to he could do a headshot and i always aim for the body. yeah, i know i'm suppose to aim for head but i'm bad at shooter and miss too often. he could take down zombies with 1-3 shots while i needed 5-10 shots. It's hard to do any kind of body aiming in the originals. While it's actually there (Maybe not in the original PSX game), it's just hard and you more or less have to let the zombies come right to your face. Like you can aim up and down, but that doesn't help unless the zombie's already on you. It's just I'm used to them dropping on the floor after a few shots. You can then run behind them and stab them while they're on the ground. I vaguely remember doing this in the original when I tried it on the Vita. No idea what's happening here.
its a thing i'm aware of in any shooter i play. i felt more punished in RE than other games though. maybe it's just because RE is stricter on handing out bullets. i don't know if i could have beat the game without him.
i guess my first sentence is wrong. i tried to play RE 4 solo on the wii. i gave up pretty early when i couldn't get past a village filled with zombies after i hit a check point with no cash and only 3 bullets left. i sucked too much to move on.
Looking through all the "free" games I have, I might play a fair amount of spooky games this year.Like none of this happened lol.
Little Nightmares
Hollow Night
Scorn
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Gone Home
Everybody's gone to the rapture
Resident Evil 7
Amnesia
Man of Medan
Both plague tales
Maid of sker
Does Demon's souls count as spooky?i'd count it.
i downloaded the callisto protocol for my halloween game of the year. i had hoped to finish sea of stars first but i'm a long ways from that and hate playing halloween games in november so i think i'm going to start that tonight.Hope you like it. I might resub to ps+ and play it too.
Hope you like it. I might resub to ps+ and play it too.the reviews weren't amazing but i loooved dead space. i'm sure i'll at least enjoy it.
