I'm impressed with how peaceful the Era thread is.
Forza seems to have more impressive trees, and does more with RT lighting.
GT7 seems to have quite a few advantages. More realistic materials, more detailed cars.
There's also frequently a difference in terms of priorities. GT7 frequently has reconstructed the actual landscape and tree lines to match the real world tracks; and in general tries making things photorealistic. Whereas Forza seems like it was trying to be more flashy visually.
I'm not a huge fan of these kinds of racing games, but both are pretty impressive. I'm just surprised that Forza isn't so strong after the longest development time they've ever had.
