Black Ops 4 sold a pitiful 260k first week in the UK, only just over half of WW2 and the lowest in 11 years, since Modern Warfare. Meanwhile, Activision announced Black Ops 4 is their biggest digital launch ever, setting the new record PSN all time first day sales, a new activision record on xbox and the PC launch more than doubled last year.

So... who knows whether its up or down! This quote would suggest it is still up WW over WW2: 'the total number of people who connected online to play Black Ops 4 increased from last year's release'

With fifa also dropping dramatically this year, perhaps the UK market has seen a big shift to digital this year. Not sure why the jump would be so big compared to last year, perhaps amazon pre order discount stopping/ stock issues?

Aloso interesting, COD only launched 37% higher than Spider Man.
There is nothing to suggest that the uptake in digital sales grew so drastically YoY. While digital is still growing, Physical sales still represent the majority of a games sales. If sales were up YoY they would have said so, like they did with digital sales. Not use players on the first day. I don't see how the increase in digital sales would somehow offest the massive decrease in physical sales.

However the game might have sold more but in the UK it dropped. Remember Activision's PR is about a launch WW not just UK.
