That is the exactly reason Plus is required now for online play.Only in the sense that part of digital sales go to Sony, and Sony has to pay for infrastructure.
Part of digital game sales goes to server infrastructures.

Super GT drivers Satoshi Motoyama and Kohei Hirate went to PD studio for christmas party and now we have these shots:
They look so real (specially the last pic) but they have GT logo. maybe they are GTS car models on real locations?
