Funky headphones.

The seven dots could either be screw holes which would be odd, or they could be leds for tracking. The Vive's tracking that Valve made actually works the opposite.
The Vive's tracking that Valve made actually works the opposite.I keep forgetting that this is essentially a Vive sequel.
It has LEDs on the stations that are picked up by "tracking dots" on the headset.
So it works by the headset figuring out where the base stations are, rather than the other way around.
The Vive has a pretty clever tracking system. As far as we know, this uses the same system.

Soo stoked about the new #valve #index. Did some photo enhancing to get more info. 14 IR sensors. two massive cameras and a curved display?! i'm most interested in this glass cover. Is it for styling or something deeper?#vr #valveindex #VirtualReality pic.twitter.com/GrXu7mxZ3o

Following the leak of the Steam product page for the Valve Index headset (detailed below), a spokesperson for Valve tells Road to VR that the information "while not comprehensive, is accurate." The spokesperson also said that the company is targeting May 1st for a full reveal of the headset which will include pre-orders, with shipping planned some time in June (though the exact date is not yet confirmed). Knuckles will also be sold alongside Index, and Valve plans to call them "Valve Index Controllers" going forward.
Is that a screen on the front?Found it! The small square is where a USB port is:
It is asymmetric with the small square on the right side.

Yeah we had the same idea... pic.twitter.com/39WUQZg16D
I expected more info haha! It's funny. Most of the "info" that we have about the headset comes from leaks either from Valve accidentally posting a webpage, or from regular leaks.
