Anyone playing yet?I will be in 20 mins. Its gonna be hard to stop myself at some point in the next couple of days for revision though ;D
(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DbJOA4XXUAAn3rl.jpg)Did they just spoil the ending :o
This is awesome from Guerrilla
Give me a balanced experience! Lets gooooooooooooooooI'm thinking hard
Holy fudgy shameWhat? WHAT?
What? WHAT?The first boss fight. It was so good.
Haha that first encounter killed me three times before I got the hang of it. Playing on hard. Also, That music at the start. Holy shame.
So what mode are you guys playing on? Resolution or performance?
The first boss fight. It was so good.Next encounter I almost died but it feels so good to kill all
I'm on normal, haven't died yet but I've come close. Its quite challenging.
I'm on pleb mode.
Holy fudge it's so good
Finished the first boss.
Spoilers for Xevross and others who haveSpoiler for Hidden:
Just about to start up. I chose immersion for the hood although I did it via custom so I press the pad button to reveal the bus.Weaklings!
Choosing give me a balance experience difficulty.
"I do not know"Boy!
What difficulty should I start on. I played God of War 3 on hard first. It was hard as hell, but the right kind of hard. Is this harder or easier?I played gow3 on normal but playing this on hard. Hard but rewarding
What difficulty should I start on. I played God of War 3 on hard first. It was hard as hell, but the right kind of hard. Is this harder or easier?Normal is fine. I only have difficulty when I've come across enemies a higher level than me. I'm not one to fight too strategically either, I just like smashing things to bits.
Normal is fine. I only have difficulty when I've come across enemies a higher level than me. I'm not one to fight too strategically either, I just like smashing things to bits.If you want kind of a souls experience as well, go with hard
If you want a fairly difficult challenge then go for the hard difficulty, think its called give me a challenging experience.
cant decide my difficulty. i love the rewarding feeling of a souls type game, but dont wanna get in over my head.No and you can always change it (except from very hard)
are there any trophies tied to difficulty?
Went with normal. How do you have a hidden trophy already :o
Man there is so much side content in this game its unreal. A lot of it is high level though, so I get halfway through and then decide to do something else, which is kind of annoying. There's so much to it. I'm enjoying it more than tlou atm. If what I hear about the late game is true I'm not going to stop thinking that either!
Anyway, I've played probably over 10 hours today so its good to stop for now :D
Loving it so far, but it doesn't quite feel super top tier like TLOU yet. At least it'll be much longer.
pretty good so far, glad i could turn down the camera sway. loving the combat.Hehe yeah. Kid is pretty smart though and will help you a bit along the way. At least in the first 3-4 hours or so, where I am at
all around i get vibes from other sony greats. especially tlou. some of the things the kid says reminds me of how ellie would bug joel. after that first fight with the big dude i was wondring around looking to see if there was any chests etc and he said "um the house is over this way, duh" lol made me laugh.
How do you have a hidden trophy already :oI don't even know which trophy that is :(
I don't even know which trophy that is :(I guess it's for getting all collectibles in a set maybe? I didn't get that but got 7 out of 9 faces :'(
I have been taking time to explore.
I guess it's for getting all collectibles in a set maybe? I didn't get that but got 7 out of 9 faces :'(Lol you caught me. Although I did look it up after that so I wasn't lying about the norse mythology ;D
I found out you cheated with the first boss info, Xevross lol. The kid mentions his name in the boat lulz
Lol you caught me. Although I did look it up after that so I wasn't lying about the norse mythology ;DIndeed. I honestly should've remembered but I think Marvel has messed up my knowledge of the real mythology.
Indeed. I honestly should've remembered but I think Marvel has messed up my knowledge of the real mythology.Yeah I have very limited knowledge. This game is teaching me a fair amount though :P
Yeah I have very limited knowledge. This game is teaching me a fair amount though :PI love all the Icelandic in the game though lol, especially the pronunciation. I mean, most of the time it's close but still a bit weird. All the trolls have Icelandic names, the spells ('kveikja' means illuminate etc), the enemy types (draugr=draugur=ghost). Even the songs have Icelandic in them!
Started up God of War.Close enough
Playing on GoW difficulty, will probably restart on the next lowest setting because the camera sucks balls and I'm tired of dying to enemies I can't see :'(There's lots of different camera options but idk if that's one of them.
Wonder if they will ever add an ability to adjust how zoomed in it is. Combat is great, otherwise.
There's lots of different camera options but idk if that's one of them.I can change the camera? HOW?
So I know exactly why everyone was shouting to avoid spoilers now. And yep guys, AVOID SPOILERS AT ALL COSTSHow much did you play when you realized that Lul?
I can change the camera? HOW?Start menu, press triangle, settings, camera. Then there's some camera settings. Rotation speeds, ambient sway, aim assist etc.
How much did you play when you realized that Lul?Well obviously, it has a story that can be spoiled like any game.
is it safe to sell artifacts ?someone answer lol i wanna know if i can sell the masks i have found safely
someone answer lol i wanna know if i can sell the masks i have found safelyI did. They say it has no other use anyway
I did. They say it has no other use anywaythanks! and yes but its not as strong lol
OT: Holy shame, just realized you can quick throw the axe with R1. Always thought it did the same thing as with r2 but guess not
thanks! and yes but its not as strong lolFaster though and easier to trip enemies with it
I'm just atNo, way past that. I'm getting close to 20 hours. That bit was amazing though.Spoiler for Hidden:
Xev is the part your talking about before or after this?
So far this is easily the best exclusive on PS4 so far. TLOU PS3 beats it overall though and is still my GOAT!
Combat is so fudgy versatile with just the axe and shield. I don't have any other weapons so don't know if there are any. i might have gotten something spoiled on a youtube thumbnail, but not sure if it was legit.
Also I'm easily at 10 or 11 hours. I think I'll easily be 50 to 60 hours to 100% completion.
I've started playing. Really cool so far but man did I suck at the first serious fight. I need to get better at controlling it.I was really bad at the controls at first. You do get used to it though.
No, way past that. I'm getting close to 20 hours. That bit was amazing though.I've been searching every single nook and cranny. I think I only left behind 1 or 2 big chests because I couldn't find how to get them. Minus the ones that require some extra stuff.
Man I can't stop playing now. I did a fair amount of side content but the last few hours of play has been a lot of story. Hopefully I can take a break from it and go back to some slow pace exploring soon!
I was really bad at the controls at first. You do get used to it though.
I've been searching every single nook and cranny. I think I only left behind 1 or 2 big chests because I couldn't find how to get them. Minus the ones that require some extra stuff.Yeah I've been getting most chests, but I haven't spent too long making sure I've found completely everything. Its hard to tell how far through the game I am, and how quickly I'm completing it compared to average.
I absolutely love juggling enemies in the air, then throwing my axe to freeze them, then pummel them with my fists and shield, then recall the axe and finish them off. I love the different special moves you can do with different stones in the axe.
I wasn't going to play anymore since i play 6 hours today, but now I'm excited to move on.
This game is so amazing. Was this in
Finished the second boss... I think. Although it was easier than a miniboss I fought before
Was this inYes. And we should probably spoiler mark area names!? I know what you mean, it had a boss bar but it was just a normal enemy with a lot of health. That's the most underwhelming part of the game so far for me.Spoiler for Hidden:
fudge me when did it get past 2am? :oHaha it's 2am for me too now and I just stopped playing after about a 5 hour session. Still only 7-8 hours in I think
I had to stop myself from playing, even though there's so many things I want to do! Man, I wish this came out a couple of months ago when I didn't have to revise and stuff >:(
Yes. And we should probably spoiler mark area names!Fair enough.
Haha it's 2am for me too now and I just stopped playing after about a 5 hour session. Still only 7-8 hours in I think
Fair enough.I actually couldn't stop after beating him and did sidecontent.
Yeah I beat that guy around 7-8 hours in too I think. Or maybe a little bit earlier than that. I hadn't really done any side content before I reached that.
Can you guys catch up I need someone to gush with >:(I haven't even reached level 2 yet.
I haven't even reached level 2 yet.Yeah level 1 takes a long time to get through. It speeds up a bit further on, although I've played 20+ hours and just reached level 6. I do love the levelling system of this game. In fact I love the entire XP, loot, gear, crafting system. Its so good.
Game is really great but so unique. It's hard getting used to not having a jump button yet still exploring. Also I still really suck at combat but I'm slowly getting the hang of things.
Yeah the levels are just like botw but better.Yeah it makes perfect sense to do it this way round. And it makes it so that your stats just don't feel arbitrary, and higher levels aren't just barriers based on you not having enough stats.
I'd love if this became the norm. Have levels just be a description of your power vs actually being the cause of your power.
I don't get all this complaining about text size. Seems normal video game size to me, nowhere near small enough to cause me any issues.Size and distance. It's smaller than most games I've played recently. Witcher 3 was similar before patches
I guess if you were playing on a small monitor sized screen it might be an issue.
Size and distance. It's smaller than most games I've played recently. Witcher 3 was similar before patchesSlow time for a last second dodge? I decided I'm too shame/ can't be arsed using it. I prefer ones that help me smash stuff in the face more with bigger explosions and stuff.
Anyone else got the time rune?
Slow time for a last second dodge? I decided I'm too shame/ can't be arsed using it. I prefer ones that help me smash stuff in the face more with bigger explosions and stuff.Lol I'm always dodging. And yeah that one. So cool and useful
I'm going for luck above all else. Gotta increase that xp!You get plenty of XP throughout the game honestly. I've pretty much upgraded everything now and have XP to share with plenty of the game to go
Any use upgrading runic over strength? Seems less useful since it's only like 2 skillsIt increases elemental damage too. So if you have enchantments etc. which power up your axe with ice for example, it boosts that. Also I think heavy axe throws and heavy attacks do ice damage, so those are boosted too.
I'm now atOh man you're in for a treat.Spoiler for Hidden:
Probably around 15 or 16 hours so far. i did lots of side content today.
Also I loveSpoiler for Hidden:
Welp, I finished the story. I was hoping there'd be a bit more but it was a great ending. How the hell did you finish it so early. I'm just doing side content like a boss
Still got loads of content to go through though!
Edit: I reckon I've played about 25 hours. I've done a fair amount of side content. I reckon it will be over 40 hours if I want to 100% though. Which I probably will, the combat in this game is just too dang fun, and I love all the stories you get to hear and the lore.
Double edit: oh yeah, this is my new favourite PS4 game. Just beats out Horizon I think. And definitely 10/10 on a 10 point scale.
How the hell did you finish it so early. I'm just doing side content like a bossLol I finished the vast majority of games in less than average time. I just don't wait around much. I've done all of the favours in Midgard, and most in total. I've not got many of the artefacts either.
Only managed like 2.5 hours today but I amExciting! I really enjoyed that part of the game.Spoiler for Hidden:
Lol I finished the vast majority of games in less than average time. I just don't wait around much. I've done all of the favours in Midgard, and most in total. I've not got many of the artefacts either.I mean yeah but 25 hours in a weekend lulz. I managed 10 at most
I've pretty much visited everywhere, just extra stuff on the side to do. Like the two realms you need ciphers for I barely did anything in, I thought I'd leave it to post game. There's also other optional stuff, which you guys probably haven't discovered yet either.
I don't know if I want to get all the collectibles for the plat yet, but there's at least 10 more hours of stuff I want to do, which is more substantial than just collecting things.
Exciting! I really enjoyed that part of the game.Nah thanks hehe. Want to be surprised
Well, I say that like I didn't really enjoy all of it ;D
Do you wish to know how far through the story you are?
I mean yeah but 25 hours in a weekend lulz. I managed 10 at mostLol well I fell another day behind on my revision plan but who cares about that anyway.
I'm getting good at combat! There's always new stuff to learn!
Pach being pach with that though lol. "Pretty good reviews" and "top 10 all time". And 10-20m is a wide range lulzQuote"It's pretty well rated, and… I think 95 actually probably puts them in the 10 highest rated games of all time, I think the highest is Ocarina of Time? GTA got a 97. 95 is pretty universally a great, great game, so there's minimal risk that anyone will buy it and be disappointed," Pacther said. "I think that the gameplay is actually easy to pick up and play, and there's a lot of little things in the game that can appeal to different niches of game players, there's action, and adventure, puzzles, and a compelling story. It appeals to everyone, and I think making it a father-son story makes it similar to The Last of Us, which, again, brings in fans of that game too. So I think it will quite clearly be the number one bestselling PS4 exclusive."Click to expand...Quote"I think 10 million units sounds like a low bar for it, actually," he said. "Last that Sony announced, there were 70 million PS4s out there, so 10 sounds really reasonable. I'd say realistically, it could do as many as 20 million. Now that's hard, because not everyone who has a PS4 will like an action game like God of War. But I'd say between 10 and 20 million, and I'd say 10 million is a low estimate. OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! The part that I just played through!!Wooh someone else finally reached it! I've never felt so many emotions at once. That whole segment is delivered perfectly.

20m? That'd be fricken huge.
Oh yeah, I shouldn't be in this thread.
No its okay you can stay! No, spoilers abound!

Well I can play 2-3 hours per day at most usually. Tomorrow I'll probably play only like one hour.:o why did you quote me? Did you see anything? :P
Still,!Spoiler for Hidden:
And holy moly the snow and graphics in general!Spoiler for Hidden:
Loved launching enemies down
I've probably played it like 12-14 hours so far and feels like I'm just getting started. Have a feeling it's going to leave some things for the sequelBy that point I was about 8-9 hours in so you're definitely going slower than me lol. Although I'd barely done any side content at that point, and it was after that I spent a few hours exploring the lake.
:o why did you quote me? Did you see anything? :PYou edited something in after I did it seems. Good
Yeah the graphics were amazing there.
By that point I was about 8-9 hours in so you're definitely going slower than me lol. Although I'd barely done any side content at that point, and it was after that I spent a few hours exploring the lake.I've basically finished the lake area except for stuff that was locked out. I also did all the side content I could find in the other place
You edited something in after I did it seems. GoodLol yeah I meant to make it a separate post but I forgot the forum combines them, good job you missed it lol.
I've basically finished the lake area except for stuff that was locked out. I also did all the side content I could find in the other place
I'm also opening all chests I can
So it'll probably take me like 40 hours to finish this, huh?
Lol yeah I meant to make it a separate post but I forgot the forum combines them, good job you missed it lol.I've been considering raising the difficulty back to hard lulz. Been destroying fools for a while. Upgraded most skills already
40 hours including the majority of optional content, sure. Most people, like me, are leaving a fair amount for after the story. The final parts of the story aren't as high level/ as difficult as quite a lot of the optional content. So the side stuff is the real end game. You'll find out about all that anyway.
I've been considering raising the difficulty back to hard lulz. Been destroying fools for a while. Upgraded most skills alreadyYeah I was considering that but I usually enjoy smashing things to bits rather than a difficult challenge :P
HOT. dang. By far the best boss fight in the game is completely optional and quite well hidden. I died to this boss I think more than the entire rest of the game combined. So good.Late game?
Late game?Super late game. I've done I think everything in the game now and that is by far the most difficult part. It doesn't help that I tried doing it without Spartan Rage for a while. Eventually I gave up, went to max my rage bar (as well as upgrading my gear a bit), then came back and it only took me a couple more tries.
Beat the game. Really loved it but wish there was more story.Yeah same.
Yeah same.Spoiler for Hidden:

Well I'm a short way and I'm already engrossed. Before I played the game I see previews with The Stranger and didn't think much to it. Now I've played that part, it was extremely well done. Honestly I wasn't hyped for this game. I thought norse mythology was a stepdown from Greek mythology and didn't likethe open world aspect of the game but early signs are this is going to be epic.Norse mythology is always better!
Norse mythology is always better! No Roman/Greek all the way 8) I'm not saying this cause I'm Italian ::)
No Roman/Greek all the way 8) I'm not saying this cause I'm Italian ::)I love Roman/ Greek, but mainly because I know it better.
I love Roman/ Greek, but mainly because I know it better.I just like the architecture in Greece/Rome. Like, the aqueducts in Rome work to this day.
Now I know more about Norse I think it's my new fave
I just like the architecture in Greece/Rome. Like, the aqueducts in Rome work to this day.Oh that's true, but that's not mythology ;D
im just goig to say someone needs to make a collection of life lessons from kratos lol im also laughing as he gives advice to the kidKratos is hilarious in this! I absolutely love it.
Oh that's true, but that's not mythology ;DThe architecture is prevalent when people show off anything in the mythology. Only Hercules the Legendary Journey didn't, and I'm sure it was to save money by reusing the same medieval set.
Roman/ Greek history is the best for sure
Holy fudge just did theWhich one was that?sidequest and man, that one armored dude is difficult.Spoiler for Hidden:
Which one was that?
And this is just such a good game. Late game is awesome just for the gameplay.
Holy shame the side content is on another level. Fkn spirit tricked me and had to battle his dead wifeLol yeah that was a good one. The conversation after was hilarious too.
Lol yeah that was a good one. The conversation after was hilarious too.I was blown away when the area opened up even more somehow. Didn't expect it like that
I love that side content has it's own dedicated areas. Its just such good level design.
So I'm just at the point ofI dismissed those areas at first but they're actually really fun. I think I might go for the plat.Spoiler for Hidden:
Not sure how much more story there is after that, but I'm likely gonna do another area I found and some of the challenges.
So xev what boss was your favorite? You said an optional one was amazing?
I'm needing to upgrade my gear so I can do those.
Just killed my first valkyrja and holy shame that fight was the hardest by far in the game yet.Well yeah the Valkyries are like 4 levels higher lol. The easiest Valkyrie is much harder than any story boss/ gameplay. They're meant to be end game content.
Fought thejust before that and they were cheesecake compared to thatSpoiler for Hidden:
Well yeah the Valkyries are like 4 levels higher lol. The easiest Valkyrie is much harder than any story boss/ gameplay. They're meant to be end game content.Guess you can call me end game killer
I actually thought the first valkyrie I fought was cake, but I tried a second and she whooped my dog.I think there's quite a lot of variation between them. I fought them all with end game gear, so only a couple actually felt difficult. The hardest ones (not counting the Queen) are a lot harder than the easiest, for sure.

Platinumed GOW today. Finding the ravens is a pain because I only needed like 15 but had to follow a guide from the start because you don't know which ones you need. They really should have made it possible to buy a treasure map post game revealing where they are. Because what's the point in making the player use a YouTube guide. On the map you can see the items per region. That helped me a lot with finding my missing artifacts.
Maybe as a reward for finding the 12 hidden treasures give a map for the ravens.
On the map you can see the items per region. That helped me a lot with finding my missing artifacts.I know but when the vast majority of them are in midgard it doesn't help.
I know but when the vast majority of them are in midgard it doesn't help.No on the right side of the map it breaks it down to just the region you're looking at.
How the fudge are you supposed to find the treasures on the treasure maps? I'm not sure I'm getting itLook them up.
Look them up.Without that tho?
Without that tho?Look at the drawing and recognize the location. Read the text and recognize the location.

With all these people finishing GoW, maybe posting will increase.I'm still probably only like half way through lulz
hearing this platinum talk leads me to believe i jusy m8ght go for it.If you enjoy the game and just play everything it has to offer, then you'd only miss the trophies for collecting things.
is there any that are substatially hard?
I'm pissed off that I missed seemingly the only missable collectable in the game. Makes getting the plat much more annoying, it might have to wait til after my exams now.Have you opened all other chests? I read that there are a couple extra and that item will be in a different chest if you miss it.
Have you opened all other chests? I read that there are a couple extra and that item will be in a different chest if you miss it.Oh I looked it up and there's only 9 chests listed, but now you've made me realise that each site has only listed the first 9 they came across and hasn't thought about there being more. I should be able to get it then :o
wat the missable collectable? that would suck dog of i missed it. :/ lolThere is an area in the game with a chest that can't be returned to. Seems the devs thought of this though and let you pick it up in a different chest later on if you miss it.

Jason: So how much of the future game plan do you have mapped out in your head? Cory: Five games. Jason: So that's 25 years? Is that what you're prepared for? Cory: No. I want to figure out how to make these things faster, man.Felt like more of a joke. He's said in many interviews that everything is mapped out but I doubt it's broken down into specific games like that.
Why God of War Took Five Years To Make (https://kotaku.com/why-god-of-war-took-five-years-to-make-1825653009)
Very spoiler heavy interview. My guess is 2 more in norse mythology and then 3 in Egypt. Over the next 15 years.
With all the recent praise going towards the recent God of War, talk has been buzzing about how it'll sweep game of the year awards and the VGA's. My question is simple; has gaming reached a point where we have our own "Awards-bait" sub-genre a la Oscar-bait films? Obviously the criteria they are seeking to meet are different, but I have heard many people claim that games like Horizon, BOTW, and now God War are not only critic-friendly but actively trying to copy the formulas of other successful games in terms of both gameplay and story to get high review scores. Personally, I find it plausible, if a bit nebulous to define. Do you think God of War is Awards-Bait? Is that even a thing within video games? Are there other examples that you feel are more bait than others? Personally, even though I still really really like it, I feel like Bioshock: Infinite was actively trying to garner critical appeal with its marketing and design. Can't tell if serious
:-\ So where's the sales info from sony?Within the next few days I think.
:-\ So where's the sales info from sony?Today is the 11th day since release. Maybe they are waiting until this weekend to give first 2 weeks. Hopefully before that though and they do first 10 days.
Is the new God of War Awards-Bait? | ResetEra (https://www.resetera.com/threads/is-the-new-god-of-war-awards-bait.39453/)It makes some sense with walking simulators and indies just since those are niche and cheaper to make. Doubt many/any are made with that intention but at least it could be possible.

It makes some sense with walking simulators and indies just since those are niche and cheaper to make. Doubt many/any are made with that intention but at least it could be possible. We live in the world of cinematic -> bad gameplay
Big AAA games that sell millions though, that just doesn't make any sense.
Also it's amusing that GOW has brought about a lot of discussion about cinematic story focused games even though by far the best thing about it is the combat. I don't think many people dismissing it realise how gamey GOW is.
This is the best game this gen and might end up being my favourite of all time depending on how the game concludes. You'll need to get a name change!
This is the best game this gen and might end up being my favourite of all time depending on how the game concludes.Yeah for now its in my top 5 games of all time but it might slip out once the 'honeymoon period' is over. For me its better than Horizon and Bloodborne, so my favourite PS4 game of the gen. I can't see anything beating BOTW for my overall game of the gen though.

I can't see anything beating BOTW for my overall game of the gen though. It's a different game compared to Horizon and MGSV so I wouldn't feel comfortable ranking it above or below them.
It's a different game compared to Horizon and MGSV so I wouldn't feel comfortable ranking it above or below them.Well you have to!
Death Stranding could dethrone BOTW but I've started to worry that game will have issues. At least the trailers are incredible.
Well you have to!Shame!
I suppose it could, but if its stealth based like MGSV I'll probably give it miss.
Started up a new playthrough of thisI had a dream I started a new playthrough...
I had a dream I started a new playthrough...Inception. The seed has been planted
You'll need to get a name change!Guerrilla are going to kill it with Horizon 2 :P
Holy shameYay we can chat spoilers now!Spoiler for Hidden:
working on niflheim right now.. bit of a grind so far but isnt to bad. still only found 1 of the 3. killed my first valkyrie.Niflheim is really fun even though I wrote it off at first.
pretty sure i have next to nothing left in the story.Spoiler for Hidden:
I've probably spent like 30 hours or more on it but I still feel like I need more. Ending was a bit abrupt even though it was very good. There is still A LOT of side content. If you enjoy the gameplay, you're only halfway done with it.
Also, what did thatmean?Spoiler for Hidden:
Now, for some side content!
Holy shame that true ending lulz.ikr what a tease.
Also, I'm sureWill be wild how they explain that though lolSpoiler for Hidden:
muspelheim trials are next, is this harder or easier than the valks?Different kind of thing really. I'd say easier, but there's a couple of trials that are quite tricky to master. Not because of combat difficulty, but because of the criteria/ conditions.
muspelheim trials are next, is this harder or easier than the valks?Harder since you can't just switch to Easy :P
thanks, how many are there? im at arena 5,The boy tells you. 6
The boy tells you. 6thanks, must have missed that because of noisy kids lol
So i need help,I had a similar problem once. Had to reload the checkpoint lulzSpoiler for Hidden:
edit:nvm, it decided that a nightmare like 100feet back stuck in a corner was still in combat against me lol
So i need help,Yeah that's probably the thing that annoyed me the most in the game. Not being able to just run past enemies/ not being able to interact with stuff after. There's probably reasons for designing it that way, but I'd prefer if it wasn't like that.Spoiler for Hidden:

Niflheim imo shows that it was smart. Stops you from losing interest and just caring about the destination. They could have just made it different for Niflheim
They could have just made it different for NiflheimYes but I like it and think Niflheim explains why it's good game design for other areas too.
Yes but I like it and think Niflheim explains why it's good game design for other areas too.Yeah this is true. I just think it should be default that you can interact still, but then disable it for certain areas like Niflheim. This is such a tiny criticism though, I think this feature annoyed me only two or three times while I was playing.
Rofl its the little things. Is that Alfheim? Thought it was a comment on the puzzle.
i was getting thu an area quicky and i recalled my axe in doig so trapping atreus in a small area leaving him behind.
"oh i see, very tricky.." before it evetually had him teleport next to me lol
Is that Alfheim? Thought it was a comment on the puzzle.Love spamming that square
Speaking of that, they did a great job hiding the boy teleporting. Outside of a few times, it never felt like he teleported.
And this is by far the best combart partner system. Way ahead of bioshock Infinite and TLOU. Boy not only helped but made it feel like a tag team.
Love spamming that squareThe unlockable bonus for rapid firing was legit. The devs understood me!
The unlockable bonus for rapid firing was legit. The devs understood me!Lol same. I was always spamming those arrows as much as I could, they're so OP. I love that there was some good puzzles involving Atreus/ his arrows as well.
"I need more time!" was said more than "boy" during my playthrough.
So I've been doing sidequests and there's always a new one after I finish another.Well I guess you need to kill more ancients.
Saw that there's a trophy for getting ancient armor set but for some reason I don't have enough ingredients yet despite having finished the game and probably most of the side quests
Well I guess you need to kill more ancients.Yeah but where are they hiding
Just found my second optionalSpoiler for Hidden:
I'm just casually doing sidequests and happen upon a huge area with aand castleSpoiler for Hidden:

Any new revelations? They've been discussing those things since last month.New to me hehe. I haven't been there much.
I'm watching every commentary Cory does for this game. Just watched his commentary on the opening and it's so good hearing there thought process and how they came up with those ideas.
I'm watching every commentary Cory does for this game. Just watched his commentary on the opening and it's so good hearing there thought process and how they came up with those ideas.Cory also seems really intelligent and well spoken. Emotionally intelligent too.
It says discussing the ending but they briefly mention one part of the ending at the end of the video. Clickbait much!GameSpot has turned into such a clickbait company.
The soundtrack for this game is GOD tier. I fudgy love it.
You know what, man? I'm sorry, I don't think my reaction to reading the original tweet was emphatic enough. It is horrible but when I showed it to Kratos, he illustrated what the proportional response should be. Thanks @AnimJack for making my moment of learning possible. pic.twitter.com/VKJpqULv8q— Cory Barlog ????? #GodofWar (@corybarlog) May 15, 2018
(https://i.redd.it/pkxm7o4ujwy01.jpg)Lol you really don't. My group chat with my uni friends has at least 50 memes posted in every day. I'm used to it.
(I post too many memes)
I think this is a very interesting interview. There were a lot of bosses cut during the development. More at the link (very mild spoilers)https://gamingbolt.com/god-of-war-director-address-the-so-called-lack-of-boss-fightsQuoteAccording to game director Cory Barlog, that is because a lot of boss fights had to be cut during the game's development, owing to time constraints. "You know, there are several bosses that I had to cut throughout the game simply because we got about 15 to 20 people on each boss, and those bosses go anywhere from a year to two each," Barlog said in an exclusive interview with GamingBolt. "Which I think is something a lot of people underestimate, "there's not enough bosses in this game!" You're kind of being greedy, because while I'd love like ten more bosses in there, this game would have taken like 20 years to make," Cory said to GamingBolt.Click to expand...QuoteBarlog also notes that to some degree, the intent always was to make a leaner game than what God of War 2 and especially God of War 3 had been. "All the stuff I was approaching, the way I was telling it, the way I explained it to people in the beginning was, "look, this is how we'll do it. Simple story, complex characters. And we'll figure everything out from there. Focus on this father and son journey, a coming of age for both of these characters, while they're on the road. That's it. Everything else, we'll come up with as we go," he said. "We didn't start by plotting "this is so-and-so, he wants to kill so-and-so, and he wants this". Those characters came from the interactions in the story, and what they would offer, and the concept of limiting the number--something that I think we were criticized a little bit about, too. There's not a lot of characters. There's not a lot of bosses. And that's intentional, 100%. You look at the first God of War game, not a lot of bosses. Not a lot of characters. And I think that's good. I thought of God of War 3, I love it, but it's like a swan song for Greek mythology, so there's a lot of characters, which we spent two games building up relationships for. Now, we're introducing Kratos to a new world, and like a fish going into a tank, he needs to adjust. We need to leave the bag in the water for a little while before we release him in so he can go free."Click to expand...
QuoteIt's the third most-viewed game on the platform. God of War is on its way to racking up 1 billion views on YouTube in record time. Since its release on April 20, data analyst Matchmade reports that God of War amassed 728 million views on YouTube by the end of the month. If it maintains its momentum on the platform, it'll be on track to break 1 billion views by June or July, making it the fastest game to reach the milestone in YouTube history.Click to expand...http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/06...youtube?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter (http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/06/01/god-of-war-on-track-to-become-fastest-game-to-reach-1-billion-views-on-youtube?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter)
