I only ever bother to know the first 4 digits of Pi. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I've actually needed to remember the number that accurately anyway. Pi day is my mum's birthday, which is much more important!
With only 50 digits, you can get the circumference of the entire universe with fantastic accuracy.Yeah computers treat Pi as 3.141593 and even in double precision it's defined as just 3.14159265358979. You really don't need that many digits.
