NHL 2014/15 - Summer is over, are you ready?

  Finally I can consider the summer over, and so begins the second of Canadas 2 seasons,  Hockey!

I figured i would make a thread for those of us who want to talk about it,  I know we have a hawk fan on the forums lol   I am obviously a canucks fan

what are your thoughts for the season?   what do you think about the rule changes? how many of you even care?

I love some of the rule changes, although i dont like that they got rid of the spinorama in shootouts.    The added penalties for diving is one of the nicer changes, aswell as trying to get teams to stop the delay BS on icings

I read the rule changes when they happened.  Don't remember what they were. Wasn't one the restricted zone size?

trapezoid changes, the hash tags were moved, stiffer penalties for dirty plays, some goal judge stuff, the diving fines,     nothing to huge but some cool stuff,   the larger trapezoid plays well for some goalies, but could also pull them out without thinking and lead to more goals of that type.  itll be nice to see them adjust
