haven't read the full article yet, but coming across this did make me chuckle a little bit. Basically the higgs boson particle is supposed to support the notion that the universe is contracting and will basically collapse into another big bang in umpteen billion years or less. However, scientists recently discovered that it also proves that this universe shouldn't exist either (rather should have already collapsed)... so now they are having to recheck their math...  :o

yeah definitely. Weird and kinda funny at the same time. I think sometime even scientists can forget to seek out the truth or facts of a matter rather than building upon existing paradigms.
