Is anyone here getting it at launch? Not me.
Not me.Yeah I think that's the case for a lot of people.
I have a Wii U and Zelda is the only announced Switch game I'd buy.

So are we expecting great launch sales? Personally I see it selling quite well first month but I expect it to fall off a cliff quite quickly.Have we got a thread for you!
I'm at the stupid hype phase and now trying to figure out if I could afford a Switch ::)Just wait
Just waitBut where's the fun in that?
But where's the fun in that?Super Mario Odyssey
I'm at the stupid hype phase and now trying to figure out if I could afford a Switch ::)The faster you finish Vizioneck the faster you get a Switch 8)
I'm at the stupid hype phase and now trying to figure out if I could afford a Switch ::)Print out a photo, play with that photo for a few mins and then set it on a shelf. It will be like owning the real thing!
For whatever reason Edge was allowed to post their Zelda review early. They gave it a 10.No surprise there
No surprise thereDunno, Edge doesn't hand out that many 10s. A great score was expected, but a 10 is pretty exceptional.
No surprise thereEdge's last 10 was Bloodborne. They don't give out many of them.
Edge's last 10 was Bloodborne. They don't give out many of them.I mean they tend to favor the big Nintendo exclusives. At least they did in the Wii days iirc
I can see Zelda becoming the new highest reviewed game of this gen
I mean they tend to favor the big Nintendo exclusives. At least they did in the Wii days iircDoesn't look like it to me. The only Wii 10/10s they gave are Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 and Skyward Sword.
Doesn't look like it to me. The only Wii 10/10s they gave are Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 and Skyward Sword. Those were also the only big quality Wii exclusives lol. Anyway, Zelda got a 10 on Wii and now on U/switch. That's why it's not really a surprise. Zelda games always get great scores too
Won't be long until we see Zelda's scores overall
Doesn't look like it to me. The only Wii 10/10s they gave are Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 and Skyward Sword.Aye, pretty much everyone gave those games 10's.

Aye, pretty much everyone gave those games 10's.Yeah exactly. I'm not suggesting Zelda deserves to be the best reviewed game this gen so far. How could I? I have no idea what the game's like. I'm just saying that considering the big Nintendo exclusives always score highly and that Zelda is the sweetheart of reviewers, I'm pretty sure that its going to score super high
I'm on mobile, way too much to type. Info is here. Read the whole article, there is a LOT of new info:http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/di...by-25-per-cent (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-new-performance-mode-boosts-handheld-switch-clocks-by-25-per-cent)I don't understand if this is new info or actually a new mode.QuoteMere days away from the Nintendo Switch's launch, elements of uncertainty still surround the final technical specifications for the new console - but a massive leak of Nintendo's developer documentation, along with a teardown of retail hardware by a Chinese parts firm may well have given the game away. Meanwhile, new information we've sourced reveals final tweaks Nintendo has made to hardware performance in the run-up to the console's release.
QuoteThe key addition is a new mode seemingly designed to beef up handheld performance. Developers can opt for a 384MHz GPU clock - a straight 25 per cent uplift in compute power compared to the default 307.2MHz option. Both frequencies are available to developers in what it calls 'normal mode' operation - and to be clear, users will not be able to choose between them. Additionally, adjustments have been made to available memory bandwidth. In our prior story, we revealed that in undocked mode, developers could choose between running the LPDDR4 memory at either 1600MHz or 1331.2MHz. The 1600MHz option is now only available in 'boost mode' - when Switch is docked - while 1600MHz support in mobile mode is deprecated. As before, developers can opt to run handheld modes while in the dock too, and to be clear, the documentation has no new modes for docked performance. On top of that, we should stress that not all games will use the 384MHz GPU mobile mode - game-makers will choose the best fit for their projects, and 307.2MHz remains the default option.
So who here's actually thinking of getting a Switch in the foreseeable future? Since I'll be getting more disposable income now, I'll probably get one towards the end of the year once Mario Odyssey is out.I'm considering getting one around Mario Odyssey too.
Breaking News: Nintendo Switch falls down when you keep bumping it and pushing it.
So who here's actually thinking of getting a Switch in the foreseeable future? Since I'll be getting more disposable income now, I'll probably get one towards the end of the year once Mario Odyssey is out.I own a Wii U and just got a 3DS this past Christmas. So I'm in no rush to get it.
That's a bit exaggerated, but the stand snapping off like that... that's really worrying.
New performance mode boosts Switch mobile clocks by 25 per cent - NeoGAF (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1347552)I think new info. It just sounds like devs can raise the clock speeds when in handheld mode. Explains why there's such a huge range for the battery life. I mean, prior you'd have "about 4 hours" or "about 10 hours" and it'd be minutes within range. 2-6 hours? That's pretty huge. Default 300mhz gpu clock is probably the 6 hour figure, and 2 hours is whatever max the GPU is allowed to go when undocked.
I don't understand if this is new info or actually a new mode.
Breaking News: Nintendo Switch falls down when you keep bumping it and pushing it.lol yeah, I thought it was funny
